How To Relax

How To Relax

Hey guys, it's Hanna.

New school year is coming up and we all know how stressful school can be. Try to not get too stressed, but if you do, follow the instructions bellow.

We all experience stress. And it can even be good for us! It keeps us motivated and interested in the things we do, but when is it too much? Below are several different things; How to figure out whether or not you are too stressed, and what to do to relax your mind and body.

ARE YOU STRESSED?
Answer these questions for yourself.
Do you...
☁ Constantly think about what has to be done? Whether its work, school, or anything else...
☁ Not have enough sleep, or experience strange sleeping patterns?
☁ Eat too much, or not enough?
☁ Undergo constant body tension?
☁ Seem to have lost your sense of humour, and can't remember the last time you laughed?

You may be over-stressed then. The following things are some ways to let go and relax! This isn't only if you're stressed though; use these tips to help stay healthy and calm.

01. RELAX YOUR MIND:
POSITIVE THINKING can change everything

☁ Prioritize. What REALLY has to be done today? I seriously would not be able to make it through a busy day without a list.
☁ Stop feeling guilty. We are only human.
☁ Do activities you enjoy. When I feel stressed, I dance.
☁ Find a quiet place when you feel overwhelmed. Try:
 - Lying down and listening to quiet music
 - Pampering yourself is perfectly okay; take a warm bath and use nicely scented products.
 - Curl up under a blanket with a cup of hot tea, and read a good book. I suggest something by John Green; he always makes me feel better.
 - Spend some time with your pet. Have a conversation with them. Its nice because they never interrupt, listen extremely well, and still love you no matter what you say.
☁ I also suggest you listen to some calm and relaxing music.

02. RELAXING YOUR BODY
Your body undergoes a lot. Take care of it!

☁ Exercise, or do something active. Jog around the block; do some sit ups; a couple jumping jacks.
☁ Take a moment to think about your breathing.
In - 1, 2, 3 - Out - 1, 2, 3.
☁ Treat yourself to a massage! Or have a friend rub your back. One of my friends gives killer foot massages.
☁ Eat regularly, and choose healthy foods. Eating well helps you feel balanced and strong.
☁ Avoid a lot of caffeine, and don't drink caffeinated beverages after 2PM.

And these are my tips on how to relax. Hope it helps.

xoxo
