How To Fall In Love

How To Fall In Love

Hello everyone, Hanna here!

Love. It's the subject of countless songs, poetry, paintings, movies, and literature. Everyone wants it, but no one knows how to get it. Here are some tips on how to fall in love.

♥ Boost your self-esteem. To fall in love and find the right person you must first have confidence and love invested in yourself. People with self-confidence tend to have happier and longer lasting relationships than those that don't. It might seem hard to suddenly start loving yourself, but it's an important component of a strong relationship.

♥ Consider why you want to fall in love. There's no right answer for why you want to fall in love, but there are some reasons that aren't good and that indicate a deeper problem. There's nothing wrong with wanting to have a loving relationship, but basing your self worth on the success of such a relationship will place too much pressure on the other person and ultimately doom!

♥ Consider what you are looking for. No, don't make a list of exact specifications detailing the hair color, job, schooling level, and personality of your potential significant other. You're not going to ever find an exact match, but you should acknowledge the basics of what you're looking for.

♥ Meet people. Of course, to be able to find someone with whom to fall in love, you're going to need to go out and meet people. This doesn't mean you have to be a big part animal, or that you have to do things that you're not entirely comfortable with, but it's a good idea to at least try and get out of your comfort zone a little bit.

♥ Open yourself to new possibilities. Doing things that you might not otherwise have done can help foster a sense of excitement for you, as well as take you outside your comfort zone to meet different kinds of people.

♥ Give things time. Even if you've been going to parties and your friends have been introducing you to plenty of fun, attractive people, you should still expect the process to take some time. Be patient. It can take years to find the right person. Along the way, you may find people that you think are right for you, but turn out not to be. Use these opportunities as learning experiences. Eventually, you'll get a sense for the kind of person you're looking for.

♥ Express interest. So after you've found someone you're interested in and could see yourself falling in love, you'll need to talk with them about this. In short, you'll need to ask them out and see if the interest is returned. It might be a little nerve-wracking, since you're opening yourself up, but finding love means taking emotional risks.

♥ Open yourself up emotionally. Falling in love means opening yourself up to the other person emotionally. It's about taking a risk and being open and vulnerable with another person. It can be scary to lay yourself open like that, but it's the only way to deepen a relationship.

♥ Check compatibility. Intimate compatibility is incredibly important to ensuring a loving connection (and this doesn't mean sex, necessarily). Look at the person you're with and see how closely connected the two of you are.

♥ Don't force it. Trying to force yourself or another person to fall in love won't work and will simply make you or them resent the relationship, eventually. Falling in love is, in a sense, letting go of control. Be open what the other person is feeling about the relationship, as well as what you want from it.

♥ Build trust. Trusting your partner is one of the keys to staying in love and staying in a relationship. Without trust, the relationship becomes a ticking time bomb and not something you want to be a part of.

♥ Deal with conflict appropriately. All relationships have conflict. You aren't going to agree with your significant other all the time, but dealing with your argument in the right manner will mean that the relationship is more likely to last.

♥ Recognize the signs of falling in love. There's no tried and true way to know you're in love. People often say you'll just 'know' if you're love, but there are some things that indicate you're heading that direction, if not already there.

♥ Have an honest discussion. Talk about your feelings with them and see where they're at, otherwise you won't know how they're feeling and if they're feeling the same things that you are. Communication is key to maintaining a relationship.

♥ Keep it fresh. Routine is great and getting comfortable with your partner is also great, but you don't want to to get stuck in a rut. Keeping the relationship fresh is a great way to keep you both interested and invested in making it work.

♥ Truly appreciate the other person. Appreciation is a huge part of a relationship and having gratitude for the other person and telling them that you have that gratitude will strengthen and deepen your relationship.

And these are some tips on how to fall in love! Hope you like it and feel free to request a tip!!

How to Stay Awake Naturally-Ariel

How to Stay Awake Naturally-Ariel

Hello my lovelies! So I know staying awake to do homework or study, so here are so helpful ways to stay awake easier! Credit to webmd lol! Hope this helps!

1. Get Up and Move Around
In one well-known study, Robert Thayer, PhD, a professor at California State University, Long Beach, studied whether people were more energized by eating a candy bar or taking a brisk 10-minute walk. Though the candy bar provided a quick energy boost, participants were actually more tired and had less energy an hour later. The 10-minute walk increased energy for two hours. That’s because walking pumps oxygen through your veins, brain, and muscles.

If you work at a desk, get up frequently for short walks. At meal breaks, walk to a restaurant or, if you bring your lunch, head for a nice spot to eat it. Whether you take a walk outside or just in the building where you work, it will make you feel more alert and refreshed.

2. Take a Nap to Take the Edge Off Sleepiness

There are two things to remember about naps: Don’t take more than one and don’t take it too close to your bedtime. “Nap between five and 25 minutes,” says Barry Krakow, MD, author of Sound Sleep, Sound Mind: Seven Keys to Sleeping Through the Night. It’s best to nap about six or seven hours before you would normally go to bed. If you must take a late nap close to In one well-known study, Robert Thayer, PhD, a professor at California State University, Long Beach, studied whether people were more energized by eating a candy bar or taking a brisk 10-minute walk. Though the candy bar provided a quick energy boost, participants were actually more tired and had less energy an hour later. The 10-minute walk increased energy for two hours. That’s because walking pumps oxygen through your veins, brain, and muscles.

3. Give Your Eyes a Break to Avoid Fatigue

Continuous fixation on a computer screen can cause eyestrain and worsen sleepiness and fatigue. Look away from the screen for a few minutes periodically to relax your eyes.

4. Eat a Healthy Snack to Boost Energy

Sugary snacks give you a quick energy boost followed by the sugar “lows,” when low blood sugar produces mental fogginess and lethargy. Snacks such as these will provide better overall energy in the long run:

Peanut butter on a whole wheat cracker or celery sticks
Yogurt and a handful or nuts or fresh fruit
Baby carrots with a low-fat cream cheese dip

5. Start a Conversation to Wake Up Your Mind

If you’re fading fast, engaging in conversation can get your mind moving again. “Talk to a colleague about a business idea, politics, or religion,” says Krakow, medical director of Maimonides Sleep Arts and Sciences, Ltd. in Albuquerque, N.M. “It’s a very strong behavioral stimulator -- especially when it’s a conversation about politics.”

6. Turn Up the Lights to Ease Fatigue

Environments with dim lighting aggravate fatigue. Studies have shown that exposure to bright light can reduce sleepiness and increase alertness. Try increasing the intensity of your light source at work.

7. Take a Breather to Feel Alert

Deep breathing raises blood oxygen levels in the body. This slows your heart rate, lowers blood pressure, and improves circulation, ultimately aiding mental performance and energy.

The idea of deep-breathing exercises is to inhale to the abdomen, not the chest. You can do them at your desk. Sitting up straight, try this exercise up to 10 times:

With one hand on your belly just below your ribs and the other on your chest, inhale deeply through your nose and let your belly push your hand out. Your chest should not move.
Breathe out through lips pursed as if you were whistling. You can use the hand on your belly to help push air out.

How To Protect Yourself

How To Protect Yourself

Hey guys, it's Hanna.

Lets face it, this is a scary world and sometimes there are creepers and messed up people who want to hurt you or steal from you. Here is your guide to keeping yourself safe and aware!

01. Be Aware! Stop walking & texting. You can always wait until your home, at a friends house or in the car and NOT driving.

02. Own a can of pepper spray. I really recommend this one to you because you never know when you might need one.

03. Don't be afraid to scream out! Use your voice! Yell Fire! or Help! Usually people want to see a fire, and will come to you to help!

04. Right to self defense! You CAN punch your attacker, also know you can eye-poke them, with two fingers use all your force and poke there eyes until your able to run away!

05. ANYTIME you are in a car, weather your home, school, mall, anywhere, keep your doors locked while inside! You NEVER know who will open the door and try to kidnap or take your ride!

06. Don't go to creepy places ( dark alleys, abandoned houses, or dark empty parking lot )

07. Don't hitchhike. I don't even need to explain this, but I will. You can NEVER trust strangers. I don't care if its a 99 year old woman saying she'll give you a ride. Just shake your head no, say no, then begin fast-walking / running away. TRUST NO ONE

08. TRUST NO ONE. I must keep saying this! Please understand you can NOT trust everyone!

09. If you are being followed like while walking, this might sound bizarre but begin talking very loudly to yourself. Focus on walking and making sure someones not going to attack you, but begin loudly talking to yourself, plus hand pepper spray in hand!

10. ALWAYS have your pepperspray in hand. Yes, when in public you can slip it into your purse. But right before you get out of a busy store take your pepper spray out and hold it until you get inside your car and your cars locked.

11. Always have your phone, a phone charger in your car / bag/ hand. You NEVER know when you will need to call the police, or call family to be picked up.

12. LAST TIP. If your being picked up from somewhere, don't sit outside. Find somewhere with lots of light, and have your phone waiting on parents/friends to pick you up. Don't sit outside because it leaves you alone and in the dark, where no one will see you.

You guys I posted this because I really do care. It sucks hearing about people being kidnapped/robbed, when it just takes these simple tips to be able to protect yourself from the crazy world.

Deal With A Short Memory

Deal With A Short Memory

Hey guys, it's Hanna!

Today's tip is all about having a short memory and dealing with it.

ϟ When you lose something, think of where you've seen it the last time. Don't just random search for it. When you find it and after you've used it, place it in the first place you searched for it.

ϟ Hang a little blackboard near your bed. Use different colors to write on it what you have to do - for example, blue for school, orange for family, green for friends, purple for shopping, etc. Erase them when you've done them.

ϟ Always take a piece of paper and a pen with you. When the idea of doing something crosses your mind, write it immediately.

ϟ Associate a new habit with an old one. For example, if you have to take a medicine, get used to take it right after breakfast.

ϟ Sleep enough and always in the same hours. During the sleep, your brain stabilizes your memories.

ϟ Stop thinking that you have a "bad memory." Convince yourself that you do have a good memory that will improve. Erase those thoughts and vow to improve your memory. Celebrate even little achievements to keep yourself motivated.

ϟ Exercise your brain. Try some fun puzzle exercises everyday such as crosswords, Sudoku, and other games which are easy enough for anyone.

ϟ Use flash cards. Flash cards are especially useful for studying. It's essentially a card with a question on one side and the answer on the other.

ϟ Say things you want to remember aloud. If you have trouble remembering whether you took your medication every morning, just say, "I just took my medication!" right after you took it, to reinforce this idea in your mind. Saying this aloud will help you remember that you did indeed take your medication.

ϟ Leave yourself a telephone message reminding yourself of important "to do" tasks.

ϟ When studying, take a break every so often, and do something dynamic, run up and down the stairs a couple of times, go back to your work in ten minutes.

ϟ Write in a diary or journal every day without fail. Even small issues should be written down -- this is a good way to make sure you don't miss anything.

And that's it! Hope it helps.

How To Tell If Your Guy Friend Sees You As Just "One Of The Guys"

How To Tell If Your Guy Friend Sees You As Just "One Of The Guys"

Hey guys, this is Hanna!

This tip was requested by @amanda-spogli.

How a guy treats you says a lot about how he thinks of you. Does he see you as a potential girlfriend or simply a girl friend? Is he crushing on you or does he see you as just one of the guys? These are a few signs to separate girlfriend from girl friend.

♥ Pay attention to how he addresses you.
If he refers to you as "Dude" or "Man", or gives you a boyish nickname, it means he's comfortable around you. Being called a Dude does not mean he thinks you're a butch; it just means he thinks of you as a good friend.

♥ Ask him what he thinks about your shirt/iPod/necklace/etc.
Does he compliment with words like Sick, Killer, Sweet, or Nice, Cool, Neat? If he uses the latter, it means he cares about your feelings and wants you to appreciate the compliment.

♥ Next time you're with him, see if he challenges you to a (playful) fight.
Roughhousing is considered to be a high grade of social play and in boys, a form of special intimacy. He will most likely refuse to fight back or if he does, will retaliate as gently as possible.

♥ Sit beside him, touching your leg and shoulder to his, and see how he reacts.
For guys, invading personal space like that is considered a form of closeness only displayed by good friends. If he shows no acknowledgement it means he's comfortable with you.

♥ Pay attention to how he reacts to physical contact.
Put your arm across his shoulders or touch his arm and see what he does. If he's comfortable with you he won't mind the contact and sometimes might even return it.

♥ Next time you're talking to him, make a mental list of how many times he swears.
Guys use swear words like a second language and often use profanities excessively.

♥ Be attentive to what he talks to you about.
If the topics of your conversations usually revolves around sports, raunchy jokes, vehicles, or video games, he definitely thinks of you as one of the guys.

♥ Ask him to go to the movies or get food with you. What kind of movie does he suggest? A boyish sports movie? What kind of food place does he recommend? A diner, pizza place, or a more expensive place? Where he goes with you will tell you!

Extra tips just for you guys:

♥ If he does think of you as one of the guys, don't take it personally, just take it as a compliment.

♥ He might have feelings for you. If he does, don't get too excited.

♥ If he just likes you as a friend, think of it as a step up.

♥ If he likes you, he may ask you out; if he does not, he may not.

And that's about it. Hope you like it and I hope it helps!

How To Deal With People Who Underestimate You

How To Deal With People Who Underestimate You

Hey guys, it' Hanna!

It is a problem that some people underestimate you. But if you're really more than what they say/think you are, then you'll have to deal with them. This tip will tell you how.

♒ Are they underestimating you? How do you know? How do you know that they aren't right about you? Do you think that you are a lot better they think you are?

♒ Okay, then you have confidence in yourself. Good job, because that's the first step.

♒ Realize this is a golden opportunity. Proving people wrong is such a fun thing. You have people in your life who think you are a lot less than you are, and wow are you going to surprise them. You are going to surprise them, right? Remember that.

♒ Every time they say something negative, remember how you will prove them wrong. Every snicker, mean look, laugh, whisper, negative comment is another opportunity for you to just keep silent and remember the day that their current words will look so dumb. The day they will be proven wrong.

♒ Shut your mouth at all costs. Speaking to them will only hurt you. You don't feed a diamond necklace to the dogs, don't feed your positive energy to someone who is negative.

♒ Concentrate on your goals. If you concentrate on their negativity, you risk becoming negative and cynical like them. You need to stay positive and concentrate on yourself.

More tips and warnings:

♒ Remember that words affect you. Thoughts do not. You can't control what others are thinking and you can't please everyone. And who cares what people think.

♒ You can stick up for yourself if you like, but be very careful with your words as you do, keep them simple. Say few words like "You're wrong." Or "Too bad you think that" or something, and that's all.

♒ Don't argue with them. You will only hurt yourself. Don't waste your energy on negative things. You have to think about the positive.

♒ Never be like the cynics. You don't like how they act, why would you want to follow their example? So always show others positivity and bring them up. This will also help you.

And that's all I have for you today. Hope you enjoyed!

Creating a French Lace Braid

Creating a French Lace Braid

Hey guys, Hanna again!

So my last set was requested by one of our dear followers and it inspired me to make this set as well!

Here is how to make a French lace braid:

✿ Prep your hair. Make sure that your locks are smooth and have no rats or tangles in them. A French lace braid will be done down either one or both sides of your head, so your hair must be parted. You can use a center or side part depending on what look you prefer.

✿ Start with a small section. Grab a piece of your hair near your part, around one inch thick. You can alter the size of this strand to your liking, as the starting strand does determine the overall size of the braid. For a larger braid, you can use a hefty section of hair. If you want a dainty braid, take a smaller piece.

✿ Split your section into thirds. As with the aforementioned French braiding directions, divide your section into three even pieces. Your strands of hair should be facing downwards framing your face, rather than being pulled back towards the back of your head.

✿ Begin braiding. Take your three sections of hair and start a traditional braid by bringing the right strand over the center piece, and then the left strand over the center piece. As you braid, begin incorporating more hair into the braid. However, unlike a regular French braid, only add strands of hair to one side of your braid.
✿ You can choose to take small sections from above, and then incorporate those sections in with the strands of braid being taken from the same side (the top part of the braid only).
✿ If you have three strands, this means you will only incorporate hair into the braid when the left strand is being crossed over the center. The opposite could also occur, in which you only incorporate hair with the right strands as they are crossed over the center.
✿ Only adding strands of hair to a single side of your braid makes it one-sided. This is why it must be done down the side of your head, rather than over the top and down the center.

✿ Continue braiding around your head. As you move further and further along with your braid, it will begin to form a crown or halo shape around your head. You can choose to go braid over the top of your ear, or under it.
✿ If you are doing a single braid, you will have to wrap it all the way around your head until you run out of hair likely near the ear opposite to where you started.
✿ If you wanted to create two braids for this, then when you get the center of the nape of your neck, tie off your first braid with an elastic and then use the same process to create the second braid.

✿ Finish your braid. Eventually, you will run out of hair to incorporate. At this point, continue braiding your hair with a traditional braid until you reach the ends of your strands. Tie off your hair with a ponytail to secure your French lace braid.

Enjoy your new hair style!

How To French Braid

How To French Braid

Hey guys, it's Hanna!

Today's tip was requested by @elovia-co and I'm happy to help!

The French braid is a beautiful and classic hairstyle. Although its intricate weave may appear complicated, creating your own French braid is a simple process. Once you've gotten the basics of a traditional braid down, try a French or French lace braid on for size.

✿ Prep your hair. Make sure that it is thoroughly brushed to remove all tangles and is soft ,If you would like to have a single braid going down the center of your head, then all your hair should be brushed backwards away from your forehead.
✿ If you want to have your braid going to the side or you would like multiple braids, then part your hair and brush it into sections.
✿ You can braid your hair dry or wet. If you braid it wet and allow it to dry with the braid, your hair will have soft, pretty waves when you take it apart.

✿ Section your hair. Take a large chunk of hair from the top center of your head. The section of hair should be about 3-4 inches wide, and come from the same row of hair - not with some pieces from higher up or lower down.
✿ If you have bangs, you can choose to braid them into your hair by starting your braid at the very top and center part of your head, directly above your forehead. You also have the option of separating them out before beginning your braid.
✿ The section you begin with is not indicative of the size of the braid you will end up with. You start with a small section, but through adding hair the braid will gradually increase in size.

✿ Separate the section into strands. For a French braid, the same as a regular braid, you will need three strands. Separate them by running your fingers through the chunk you are holding, and create three even strands. Make sure that none of the pieces is significantly larger or smaller than the other two.

✿ Begin to braid. Take your three sections so that two strands are held in one hand, and the third strand is held in your opposite hand. Create a few rows of a regular braid by taking the strand on the right and crossing it over the center. Then take the strand from the left and cross it over the center.

✿ Incorporate in new hair. Continue this pattern of crossing strands diagonally over the center strand, but gradually begin incorporating other pieces of hair. Before you cross a strand over to the other side, grab another strand of hair from the loose pieces on the same side and include it in the cross-over.
✿ Every time you cross over, grab another small piece of hair. It doesn’t matter the thickness of the new strands you pick up, but the smaller the pieces the more intricate the braid will look.
✿ Pick up pieces from the front of your head near your face and neck for the best looking French braid. If you only pick up pieces from the center near the main strand, then they will get covered up later with strands from the outside.

✿ Incorporate all of your hair into the braid. As you continue down your head, you will slowly notice the free-hanging strands of hair diminishing. By the time you reach the nape of your neck with the main braid, all of your extra hair should have been drawn into the braid.

✿ Finish the braid. When you have added in all your hair into the braid, continue it as a regular braid until you reach the ends of your strands. Then, secure the braid with a ponytail. Avoid using rubber bands, as these rip and break hair when you remove them.

And this is how to make a French braid. Hope you like it and I hope it helps!

How to Stay Hydrated-Ariel

How to Stay Hydrated-Ariel
Hello my lovelies! It's Ariel! I just went to a Christian camp this past week in the mountains and needed to stay hydrated, so that basically what inspired this set, lol! Below is the list with credit to webmd! Hope it's helpful!

-Fruits are an excellent source for water. Watermelon is 90% water, so it ranks highest on the list. Oranges, grapefruit, and melons like cantaloupe and honeydew are also strong contenders.

-Vegetables, though not as full of water as fruit, can also provide a nutrient-rich water source. Stick with celery, cucumbers, tomatoes, green peppers, and Romaine lettuce.

-There are plenty of hidden sources of water in your diet, says White. If you want to tap into these foods, reach for oatmeal, yogurt, soup, and smoothies.

-Besides guzzling water, milk is a top choice to refuel. Juices and sports drinks are also hydrating -- you can lower the sugar content by diluting them with water.

-If you don't like the taste of plain water, White suggests adding lemon to it. Or test out your own concoction, like sparkling water with raspberries with a sprig of mint.

-You should make sure that you are getting adequate hydration throughout the day. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that children drink plenty of fluids before starting any exercise and continue to drink during physical activity.

-During exercise, the AAP suggests drinking about 3-8 ounces of water every 20 minutes for children 9-12 and about 34-50 ounces per hour for adolescent boys and girls.

-Athletes need to take precautions to avoid dehydration. White recommends drinking 16 ounces one hour prior to exercise, 4-8 ounces every 15 minutes during exercise, and another 16 ounces an hour after exercise. The amounts can vary depending on your personal response, heat index, and the type of activity.

One Direction: Fireproof Lyrics

One Direction: Fireproof Lyrics

Hey guys, it's Hanna!

And I thought it would be fun to make a lyrics set/tip or whatever this are called :)

I'm not really a directioner, but here are the lyrics to their new track Fireproof!!

I think I’m gonna lose my mind,
Something deep inside me I can’t give up,
I think I’m gonna lose my mind,
I roll and I roll til I’m out of luck, yeah I roll and I roll til I’m out of luck.

I’m feelin something deep inside,
Hotter than a dead stream burning up,
I gotta feel it deep inside,
It’s takin, it’s taking all I got, yeah it’s taking taking all I got.

Cause nobody knows you baby the way I do,
And nobody loves you baby the way I do,
It’s been so long, it’s been so long baby you were fireproof,
Cause nobody saves me baby the way you do.

I think I’m gonna win this time, riding on a wind that won’t give up,
I think I’m gonna win this time, I roll and I’ll roll til I change my luck,
Yeah I roll and I’ll roll til I change my luck.

Cause nobody knows you baby the way I do,
And nobody loves you baby the way I do,
It’s been so long, it’s been so long you must be fireproof,
Cause nobody saves me baby the way you do.

Cause nobody loves you baby the way I do,
Cause nobody loves you baby the way I do,
It’s been so long, it’s been so long,
Baby you were fireproof,
Cause nobody saves me baby the way you do.

Let me know what you think of the song in the comments below!

How To Be Special

How To Be Special

Hey guys, Hanna here!

Who are you? What makes you special? For some people, this can be a great source of anxiety and stress. But being special doesn't just mean being exceptional, or being "better" than others at some task or ability or skill. Being special means being respected. Being loved. If you want to stand out from the crowd and be recognized as a special person, you can learn to start developing your inner self, giving it the respect it deserves. You can learn to stand out and make yourself a memorable, special person, who deserves the admiration of others, and the admiration of yourself.

01. Find your you. No one can tell you how to be special. Being special involves finding the unique inner core that radiates your "you-ness" and doing the work of building that core up. Whatever you want to call it–your soul, your essence, your chi, your mojo, your groove–you have to embrace yourself, define yourself, and build yourself up. It takes work. What does it mean to be you? Who are you? And how can you be the best version of yourself? These are questions and struggles that take up a whole lifetime. Keep in mind the following thought experiments to get your mind oriented to your inner you-ness:
♡ When do you feel completely at ease? What makes you comfortable?
♡ Describe your ideal day. What would it include?
♡ What do other people praise in your work or your behaviour? What do you do well?
♡ Describe a recent disagreement you've had with someone or something. How did you differ?
♡ How would you change yourself if you could? Why?

02. Identify special characteristics in others. What does it mean to be special? Look at the people you think are exemplary, notable, or special in some way and identify the key characteristics that make it so for you. You might think people who stick up for themselves stand out in your mind as being special, or people who devote themselves fully to their work, or people who are reserved and stoic in the face of adversity. This will be different for all of us, so focus on figuring out what it is that you respect about your grandfather, your close friend, or a loved one, not what other people say.
♡ Try to stay away from celebrities and stick to looking at people you know in real life. It's easy to identify superficial things, to say that Brad Pitt is special because he's so rich and good-looking, but it's hard to identify or even know the true core of his person. We can only see the public persona, which radiates artificial movie-star specialness, not the real person.
♡ Authority doesn't make someone more special. If someone has power over you, is more successful than you, or is well-known and respected, that doesn't mean that you need to emulate them.

03. Take off your masks. We all wear them. When you go to work, you might have a professional mask, and when you meet up with a date after work you might switch into your dating mask. When you're with your friends, you might wear one mask, and when you're with your family, you might wear another. Once you go about the work of identifying the things that make you truly you, these masks become less useful. If you want to be special, let us see what's behind the mask.
♡ To figure out you relationship to your masks, try and think of a time that you felt you were being fake, or inauthentic. What were the circumstances? How did it make you feel?
♡ Check out your Facebook and Twitter feeds for a good example of digital masks in progress. People want to project images of themselves for others to digest, crafting that image in a particular way. It's inauthentic, in most cases. You're not getting the "real" version of someone.

04. Keep your ego in check. A desire to be special is often a desire to be validated by others. We want to be respected, to be looked upon as successful, happy people who should be envied. But being special doesn't mean being exceptional at everything. It doesn't mean being the best tennis player, or the author with the most publications, or the richest lawyer at the law firm. It means being true to the authentic you-ness and staying true to your own integrity. Satisfy yourself, don't use the satisfaction of others to inflate your ego.
♡ Psychologists will often refer to inner and outer locus of control. Someone with an inner locus of control finds satisfaction from within, looking to satisfy themselves with their work and actions. People with outer locus of control look to others for satisfaction. Which are you?

05. Surprise yourself. People who are truly special are always changing, shifting, and surprising themselves with their ability to grow as people and to develop their authentic inner selves. If you want to be special, identify a rut that you've been in, and try and get a fresh perspective on it.
♡ Keep learning new skills, reading new books, and challenging yourself. You're never too old, too smart, or too experienced to have your preconceptions shaken. You're never too special to be wrong.

06. Be a lion or a lioness. People who are special don't wait around for good things to happen, special people go on the prowl for what they want, and take it. Special people have claws. Identify the things that would make you feel more satisfied, the things that would improve your condition, and identify the steps that will be necessary in getting them. Be ceaseless in your quest for those goals, things, and stages. Get what you want.
♡ Focus less on excuses. People who aren't special spend a lot of time talking about "back in the days" and "what ifs." Don't give yourself a chance to have those moments.

07. Uncensor yourself. Let yourself show. Be your true, liberated, uncensored, natural self when you're alone and when you're in public. If there is a single part of you that you don't let other people see, consider opening up more and being more vulnerable. If you tend toward the quiet, learn to start speaking your mind when it's necessary.
♡ Don't be a "yes" person. If you disagree with someone, voice your dissent. People respect others who speak their mind and are unafraid of looking for the truth. If you're around people who need their ego inflated by glad-handing sycophants, well, they're not special. Ditch 'em.
♡ Being uncensored doesn't mean letting every thought that flits through your mind come out of your mouth. Being special doesn't mean being purposefully strange, cruel, or rude. It just means that you must stop quieting yourself when you should be speaking, acting, or thinking. If it needs saying, say it. If it needs thinking, think it.

08. Surround yourself with new people. It's good to find your people, a tight-knit group of friends and loved ones that you feel comfortable with. But special people take extra effort to shake up their expectations and their preconceptions, and meet and attempt to understand all kinds of people. Be willing to listen.
♡ If you're a young person, getting a job can be a big learning experience and a way of helping to develop your empathy skills. Try and get an after-school job for a few hours each week and take it seriously.
♡ Hang out with people who you actively disagree with on religious, political, or moral grounds. Don't try to convince people that they're wrong about something, try to understand them. Open your mind.

09. Develop your own style. Give yourself a chance to feel confident and special by treating yourself and taking your appearance seriously. Buy clothes that are flattering to your shape and that you enjoy wearing. Groom yourself in a way that makes you feel confident. If that means crew-cut and cowboy boots, great. If that means waist-length dreads and Tevas, great. You don't need to be a Gucci model or competing in some kind of hipster Olympics to look special. There's no special style. Go with what looks good on you, what makes you feel confident.

10. Be positive or embrace your inner grouch. There's no special attitude, or special way of being. A special person doesn't need to be always grinning positively like an idiot or always deadly-serious and humorless like a monk. If you tend toward one or the other, don't worry about whether or not it's "wrong." Just be yourself. If you're a hugger, be a hugger. If you're not a hugger, tell people you're not. Special and exceptional people come in all variety of temperaments and attitudes.

11. Stop telling people what you think they want to hear. There's no one thing you can say that will make you special to others. Being agreeable doesn't make you special, it makes you agreeable. It might help you climb certain ladders, but are those really the ladders you want to be climbing? Be authentic to yourself and you'll be working toward a more authentic and satisfying path for yourself. Say what's on your mind. Tell the truth.

13. Be willing to fail. Part of staying uncensored, unique, and special involves taking risks to get what you want. Don't let the possibility of failure keep you from getting what you want. Be willing to fail, and fail early, and fail often. Learn the wrong answers so you can be one step closer to getting what you want in the long run.

14. Empathize and see the specialness in others. While being special involves a lot of working on yourself, it's absolutely important that you keep yourself focused equally on others. Recognize the specialness and the exceptional qualities in others. Don't let your ego get in the way of respecting and celebrating special people. That'll make you more special in turn.

Sorry for a long tip :/ anyway I hope you enjoyed it!

Making rainbow cakes

Making rainbow cakes

MAKING RAINBOW CAKES

INGREDIENTS

You'll need 3 x these ingredients for six sponges

- 125g butter, softened, plus a little extra for greasing
- 225g plain flour
- 150g golden caster sugar
- 3 medium eggs (very important to use the correct size)
- 1 tsp baking powder
- pinch of salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- edible food colouring - red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple, plus optional pink (see below)

For the icing
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 x 250g tubs cream cheese or mascarpone
- 350g icing sugar

METHOD

1. Heat oven to 180C. Grease 2 x 20cm round sandwich tins and line the bases with baking parchment. Tip all the sponge ingredients, apart from the food colouring, into a mixing bowl, then beat with an electric whisk until smooth.

2. Working quickly, weigh the mixture into another bowl to work out the total weight, then weigh exactly half the mixture back into the mixing bowl. Pick 2 of your colours and stir a little into each mix. Keep going until you are happy with the colour – the colour of the batter now will be very similar to the finished cake, so be brave! Scrape the different batters into the tins, trying to spread and smooth as much as possible – but try not to waste a drop of the batter – a rubber spatula will help you. Bake on the same oven shelf for 12 mins until a skewer poked into the middle comes out clean.

3. Gently turn the cakes out onto a wire rack to cool. Wash the tins and bowls thoroughly, and start again from step 1 – this time using another 2 colours. Unless you’re making the optional pink layer, repeat one more time to get 6 sponges, all of different colours. Leave them all to cool.
To make the icing, very briefly beat the vanilla and cream cheese or mascarpone with an electric whisk until smooth. Sift in the icing sugar and gently fold in with a spatula. Be careful – the more you work it, the runnier it will get, increasing the chance of splitting.

4. Smear a little icing on your cake stand or plate – just a splodge to stick the first sponge. Start with the red, then spread with some icing right to the very edge. Repeat, sandwiching on top the orange, yellow, green, blue and finally purple sponges. Spread the remaining icing thickly all over the sides and top of the cake. How to Make... Paper Cranes // Raelene

How to Make... Paper Cranes // Raelene

HOW TO MAKE A PAPER CRANE !!

STEPS:

01. Find a blank square sheet of paper. If you're working with square origami paper, that's great. If you have an ordinary piece of printer paper, just fold one of the top corners across the paper until it aligns with the bottom edge of the sheet, leaving a long strip of rectangular paper. Cut this paper to make the paper square.

02. Fold the paper in half into a rectangle.

03. Fold the top of the paper down until the top edge aligns with bottom edge of the paper and then crease. Unfold the paper.

04. Fold it in half the other way.

05. Fold vertically from right to left.

06. Crease then unfold. You should end up with a cross crease.

07. Fold the top right corner down to the bottom left corner.

08. Crease then unfold.

09. Fold the top left corner down to the bottom right corner.

10. Crease then unfold. You should end up with an asterisk-like crease.

11. Bring the the lower right side of the top flap to the middle line. Crease. Repeat on the lower left side. You'll have a top that resembles a kite.

12. Bring the right corner of the top flap to the middle crease. This will make it so that the lower right edge lines up with the crease.

13. Fold down the top corner to make the crease lie along the horizontal line created by the previous step.

14. Unfold the last three folds. After you do this, you'll return to having a square with an opening that faces down.

15. Fold the bottom corner of the square up along the horizontal crease from the previous steps up to the top corner.

16. Reverse the two creases on the upper flap by folding it in the opposite direction that it naturally folds.

17. Bring the outer edges of the paper to the middle and flatten it. This will create a diamond shape with two flaps sticking out on the right and left sides.

18. Turn the paper over and repeat steps 6-9 on this side.

19. Fold the outer edges of the diamond to the middle crease.

20. Fold the right flap over to the left. Do this as you would turn the page of a book.

21. Turn over the shape. Repeat on this side. Then fold the right flap over to the left again.

22. Fold the bottom tip of the top flap up to the top corner.Turn over and repeat on the other side.

23. Fold the right flap over to the left. Again, do this as you would turn the page of a book.

24. Turn over and repeat on the back. Now the head and tail are nestled in between what will become the wings.

25. Fold the wings down so that they are perpendicular to the body, head, and tail.

26. Fold the tip of the head down.

27. Pull the head and tail out so that they line up with the outer edges of the body.

28. Create 3D volume. If you want a three dimensional body, you can grasp the opposite corners on the bottom of the body and gently pull the shape to create the desired volume. Or you can blow in the hole at the bottom of the crane.

29. Enjoy your paper crane. You can give away the crane, hang it up, or use it as a decoration.

How to keep your hair healthy

How to keep your hair healthy

HOW TO KEEP YOUR HAIR HEALTHY

- Make sure you don't wash your hair everyday. Washing your hair everyday isn' t healthy for your hair. If you wash your hair everyday it will make your hair dry. Washing your hair three to four times a week is plenty.

- Using conditioner can help dry hair. Conditioner can help your hair to become smoother, softer and it will make it easier for you to brush your hair after you are done. Because of this it will help you cause less damage when brushing it.

- After washing your hair, your hair will be easier to damage then if you haven't washed it. When combing your hair after showering start by brushing 10-20 cm from the bottom of your hair and work you way up combing downwards. If you have have a wide tooth comb it will cause less hair to fall out of your head.

- Don't dry your hair using a towel. If you use a towel to dry your hair if will cause the outer layer of your hair to roughen up, this will make your hair easier to break.

- Don't blow dry your hair too often. This will cause your hair to be dry and it will cause split ends and breakage. The healthiest way is to let your hair dry naturally.

- When trying to keep your hair in a healthy state your best friend is salmon. Salmon has omega-3 fatty acids, a high vitamin D and protein content, all of which are vital for strong, healthy hair.

- Be careful when tying your hair up. You don't want to tie your hair up too tight. This will cause your hair to snap or break.

- When using heating tools make sure to use heat protection.

How To Grow Your Hair The Healthy Way

How To Grow Your Hair The Healthy Way

Hey guys, it's Hanna!

I know that most girls want prefect long and healthy hair. Here are a few tips that can help you grow healthy hair!

1. Don’t be harsh on your hair.
Harsh chemical treatments and hot styling tools can cause damage in any hair type. Most commonly, hair is burned and will break more easily, causing the growth process to slow. If you absolutely must use heat, use heat protection sprays.

2. Trim your ends regularly
I know what you're thinking, ''What? Why would i trim my hair? I want to grow it out not cut it''
Well, regular trims will help prevent split ends and breakage. If your hair is damaged at the ends, it is likely that it will cause your hair to break and become uneven. It also can prevent your hair from growing very much.

3. You are what you eat
It is as important to put healthy ingredients into your body as it is to put nourishing treatments on your hair. If you maintain a healthy diet, your hair will appreciate it and look and feel better.

4. Shampooing 101
Wash your hair with a shampoo that nurtures your hair. A harsh shampoo can cause dryness and lead to breakage. And also don't wash your hair every day, because this really dries your hair out and that is not good.

5. Don’t be like Marcia Brady
Brushing your hair 100 times a day will cause breakage. It is important to brush your hair regularly to evenly distribute essential oils, but a few gentle strokes each day will do the trick!

6. Moisturise, moisturise, moisturise!
If you don’t deep condition your hair on a regular basis, it may break and cause the hair to become finer.

7. Apply conditioner from crown to roots
Fix the problem of damaged ends before they start by applying conditioner from the roots of your hair through to the ends.

8. Blow drying your hair
Blow dry your hair with ceramic round brushes and hold the head of the dryer at least six inches from your hair to reduce potential damage. But if you want your hair to be even healthier, try letting them air dry. It will take longer, but it's worth it.

9. Wet hair is fragile hair
Wet hair is extremely fragile. Any pulling, combing or brushing can cause stretching or breakage. Never brush wet hair—use a wide-tooth comb or pick to separate tangles before styling.

10. Ponytails
Don't tie them too tight! If you pull your hair back too tightly, it will cause the hair to break in the area where the ponytail is. That is why you shouldn't wear them too often. but, if you must, just don't do them too tight!

And that's about it. Hope you find this helpful!

xoxo
