My Fitness Routine/Staying Fit In Winter // Charlie

My Fitness Routine/Staying Fit In Winter // Charlie

Hey guys it's Charlie!
Sorry it has been so long since my last tip! I have been super busy recently and so have been very inactive on polyvore. But here is a TIP!
So basically this is my everyday work out routine. I got the idea from an Aspyn Ovard YouTube video. Here is that link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NOntgm3rExI&list=UUR1EMxu9anmg7DhJBxNUbsA
Also I got my main layout of my routine from pintrest so credit to the person who originally pinned this.
Here it is:

Warm up and stretch for 5-10 minutes
50 Jumping Jacks
25 Leg Lifts
25 Crunches
25 Tricep Dips
50 Squats
25 Lunges (each leg)
50 Bicycle Crunches
25 Wall Pushups
50 Russian Twists
Repeat
Stretch to cool down 2-6 minutes

So that's all. I'm hoping to start to do some running also before I do this as a kind of warm up but at the moment I'm being lazy and so far have not done that. Also this routine is not set in stone. If you want to try this then feel free to mix it up, change it, do swap outs and alter it to fit what you can/can't do and what you like to do. If you want something to follow along for so you know how much time that it's going to take and things like that then a really good person to watch would be https://www.youtube.com/user/blogilates she's super cool and posts a lot so you can always have something new to do. Some of the things she does are awesome. She has a beach series and a Victoria's Secret model series and things which are all really cool so you should all definitely check her videos out. Another thing that's fun to do to get yourself in the spirit of working out and exercising is to make a playlist with lots of songs that aren't slow and stuff. Pick songs that will make you motivated. I like to listen to some remixes as they are all usually quite fast .
That's all for today. Hope you guys enjoyed this and that it helps some of you!

How To Dress Warmly In Winter

How To Dress Warmly In Winter

Hey guys, it's Hanna!

It's cold outside, so bring out your sweaters and cardigans, if you haven't done that yet.

❅ Layer! Layering is always an excellent idea to beat the coolness in your town. Try a regular shirt with a sweater and a jacket or running pants under jeans. Two pairs of socks and heavy built shoes help as well.

❅ With rain, snow, and ice, don't wear any type of athletic shorts or yoga pants. Some shoe choices are also a no. Avoid flats or canvas type shoes. Dresses or skirts unless paired with warm tights or stockings would be a bad idea for the winter.

❅ Warm fabrics. Some warm fabrics are wool, fur, heavy cotton, and leather. You can find adorable ways to be nice and toasty.

❅ Keep your head warm. You lose most of your body heat through your head. Your body will let your brain get cold last, so all of your heat from your hands and feet will be transferred to your head, where it will be lost. Wear a hat and use your coat's hood if you have one, and your limbs will stay warm too.

❅ Prioritise. First keep warm your torso, then your head, next your feet, fourth your neck, fifth your hands and lastly your legs.

❅ Regulate your body heat. If you feel too warm, take off or unfasten a layer. Being too warm leads to sweating, sweating means you get wet, and being wet means getting cold later.

❅ Plan ahead. Know what you are going to wear so that you can be organised rather than just throwing on lots of unsuitable stuff and being too cold.

Hope it helps you guys!

How To Wear A Beanie

How To Wear A Beanie
Hey guys, it's Hanna.

I've seen lot of people rocking this fashion trend this year and I decided to give you a few tips on how to wear a beanie.

01. Choosing the beanie

ϟ  Consider a neutral color. Bright colors and prints tend to look a little juvenile and will make your style significantly less chic. Black, white, grey, brown, or tan works best, and neutral colors are more versatile overall. If you do want a color, opt for a classic color, like red or blue, and choose a gem tone or a bold color without gravitating toward neon shades.

ϟ  Avoid styles with pompoms, beadwork, or zippers. A simple knit beanie looks classic and stylish, but styles with decorations or embellishments tend to look a little less sophisticated. If you do opt for embellishments, look for a subtle embellishment like decorative brown buttons.

ϟ  Gravitate toward loose-fit styles. Beanies with elastic in them tend to tighten around your forehead. Aside from being uncomfortable and leaving a red line across your skin, a tight-fitting beanie tends to look a little less fashionable.

02. Wearing the beanie

ϟ  Keep the beanie over your forehead for a casual, everyday look. The front of the beanie should be just a little over your eyebrows, and the sides should come down over your ears. Do not pull the beanie all the way down. Instead, leave it a little loose on top and in the back. Push your bangs beneath the hat, especially if they are a little greasy or flat.

ϟ  Add a little twist in back. For a fun little twist on the everyday, wear the hat over your forehead but give it a slight fold in the back. This style, called the "Peter Pan," causes the beanie to sit a little higher on your head and keeps it off your neck. The hat will only cover part of your ears as a result, though. This style works well with both hidden bangs and revealed bangs.

ϟ  Keep cozy by folding the beanie up. While not the most fashionable look, if you plan on being out in the cold for an extended period, fold the hat once around the entire opening. The beanie will be mostly pulled down and snug as a result, making this look more practical than fashionable, and it should cover your forehead, ears, and neck. Wear this style with your bangs hidden.

ϟ  Wear it off the head style. Wear the beanie at the scalp line of the bangs. This will give a fun sophisticated look and it is stylish. Wear white or a lighter peach color with darker or half darker hair and darker or lighter dark with light hair.

ϟ  Give your bangs a little sweep. If you want a look that seems a little more stylish than usual, wear your hat in a looser style further up on your head and leave your bangs out. Sweep them off the the side a bit for a playful twist.

ϟ  Let your bangs hang out. If you have short enough bangs, you can let them hang straight down over your eyebrows. The beanie will flatten your bangs out, though, so this style tends not to work if you have longer bangs that would come down over your eyes. It also works best if you have long hair rather than short or medium hair.

ϟ  Leave you hair down. The easiest thing to do to your hair when wearing your beanie is to simply leave it down. Leaving your hair down prevents any strange bulges from appearing underneath the fabric of your hat, and it also provides you with extra warmth on your neck and ears for the chilly autumn or winter winds.

ϟ  Wear a low ponytail. You can either braid your hair or leave it straight, but if you do decide to wear your hair back, make sure that the ponytail sits low on your head or to the side to keep it from creating an uncomfortable bulge beneath your hat.

More tips:

ϟ  Pack hair serum or hairspray if your hair is dry. People with dry hair tend to get static hair once they take their beanie off. A good hair spray will take care of basic problems, but if you have pickier tresses, you might want to opt for a hair serum, instead.

ϟ  When you know you will be wearing your beanie out, try drying your hair upside down. Doing so will lift the roots, preventing them from getting too flat or greasy when you slip the hat over your head.

And that is it. Hope you like it and try some of these out.

xoxo

How to DRESS for LESS

How to DRESS for LESS

Hi guys, Tijana here! In this tip you will find some adivices that can help you dress fashionable and spend less money than usual. Hope it helps!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1. Buy clothes at thrift shops. They have some really cool items that are very cheap. You can find things from H&M, Forever 21 and other popular stores, that are not expensive! I once bought a H&M shirt for $3!
2. DIY things that you don't wear anymore. That way, you'll make them look new, and you won't spend a lot of money (or no money at all!)
3. Buy items that you can use every day. Yes, I also thought those neon pink, $40, 5 inch heels were cute! But you won't be wearing that to school so save your money and buy things that you'll use more than once!
4. Shop at online stores. Things that people sell online are usually not quite expensive. And you can find stuff that have 'free shipping' so you don't pay for the delivery.
5. Wear things you wore last year (if they fit you, of course!) I know some girls just want new wardrobe, and I do too, but wearing things you have for a longer time, can help you save money!
6. Accessorize. You can make an old outfit look brighter by just styling it with a necklace or a pair of cool earrings!
7. Go throught your closet and see if you have any clothes that you want to sell. You can earn money by selling items you don't need to a thrift shop, and use that money to buy some wardrobe you want!
I hope you liked the tip! Sorry because it's kind of short, but I still hope you'll use it sometimes :)
Lots of love,
Tijana
How To Be A Shy And Classical Girl
How To Be A Shy And Classical Girl
Hello girls, it's Hanna again.
In this tip you will get a few tips on being a shy and classical girl.
✿ Buy timeless ensembles that flatter your figure.
✿ Being shy and conservative is sweet, and its a natural charmer. When you talk, talk soft and delicate as if you were to raise your voice any louder your voice box would explode.
✿ Hygiene is important. Clip and polish those nails. Clear coat or pale pink ONLY. Keep your hair styled, trimmed, and neat. If you have long hair, wear it in a bun, french twist, or the half up-half down look.
✿ Have good taste in clothing: Be modest in clothing and avoid clothing of bad taste. Extremely low necklines, too short skirts, belly-bearing tops and revealing clothing can make a girl look like she does not respect her body and herself.
✿ Speak calmly. This shows politeness. If you talk very loudly, it will seem that you're desperate for attention. Being loud in public isn't just obnoxious, but also inconsiderate to the people around you. Listen to what people have to say and always make eye contact.
✿ Increase your vocabulary, and stay away from slang terms. Never swear or say racist comments.This makes you ugly on the inside and rude.
✿ Take care of more than just your appearance. Parents will appreciate a girl who cares more about her education and her work ethic than her nails.
✿ Always be kind and friendly to the people serving you.
✿ Be responsible. Classy girls leave their surroundings in a condition at least as good as they found them.
✿ Intelligence and maturity are what make you classy, not the clothing. Read classic literature such as Emily and Charlotte Bronte, Charles Dickens, Sylvia Plath, and other great writers. Study art. Research music theory. Update yourself on current world events.
✿ Value your virtues. If you have any good skill or kind of talent, such as drawing, or dancing, singing or playing any musical instrument, do not hide it, work it.
✿ Be polite and do not abbreviate words.
✿ If you must wear heavy foundation, by all means, DON'T wear one that is either lighter or darker than your natural skin tone. It just looks cheap and tacky.
✿ If you slip up, forgive yourself, apologize to anyone who may have been hurt by your not-so-classy behavior, and continue on your way. That's classy!
✿ Try not to wear bright clothing, it defeats the whole purpose.
And I just realised that this is one of the most boring and stupid tips I ever made. I (usually) don't do any of things listed above and if you don't do the either, it's OK. Anyway I hope it helps.
How To Organize Your Wardrobe
How To Organize Your Wardrobe
Hey girls, it's Hanna.
Today I will give you some tips on organizing your wardrobe/closet. This tips are also helpful if you are changing your summer clothes with winter ones.
 👠 Take out all of your clothes.
 👠 Put everything into three piles: donate to charity, keep or throw away.
 👠 Put everything you are throwing away/donating to charity into bags and put them to one side of the room.
 👠 Take all of the clothes you are keeping and sort them into clean and dirty. Wash what is dirty and fold or hang up what is clean!
 👠 Take all of the clothes you are keeping and sort them into sections of your wardrobe. If you have a clothes rail, you may want to colour coordinate everything, (Black with black, pink with pink, Etc.) If you have a wardrobe with sections you could fold T-shirts and put things that won't hang on hangers into the sections. If it's a set hang the shirt and pant on the same hanger.
 👠 Move onto shoes and accessories. Most accessories like belts/scarves will hang up on hangers with other clothing items. Shoes can be put into sections of the wardrobe or on the floor of the wardrobe, or you could put them into a shoe holder if you have one.
More tips:
 👠 Try and make everything fit in your closet you don't want to have a dumping area for clothes.
 👠 You could build a shelf into your wardrobe to store make-up, books, Etc.
 👠 If you have any blankets/bedding then you could also put them into sections of the wardrobe, or leave a basket/box on the wardrobe floor and store them in there.
 👠 You can buy cheap section hangers you hang from the clothes rail in your wardrobe. These are pretty cheap to buy and are great for shoes, accessories or other items such as books or jewellery boxes.
 And that's it! Hope it helps.
How To Dress Like A Hippie
How To Dress Like A Hippie
Hey guys, Hanna here!
Whether you're going to a costume party or changing your style, looking like a hippie isn't really all that hard; after all, one of the tenets of being a hippie is that natural is beautiful – and that your hippie clothes are a chance to express yourself, not enhance yourself. To dress like a hippie, try the following suggestions.
☮ Wear used clothes. Shop at thrift stores, flea markets, and, whenever possible, garage sales. Though you can find gear designed to look “hippie” in other places (like New Age stores and eBay), the whole point of hippie fashion was to stop buying what big corporations were selling in favor of used clothing that was purchased locally.
☮ Choose loose, comfortable, and natural tops. A simple tee will work if you have other accessories to dress it up with, but try to opt for faded, old, or used tees. Hipsters have largely claimed the ironic and retro tees, but that doesn't mean you can't dabble, too.
☮ Try out a vest. A vest is a great option for accessorizing with other tops. In the '60s, at the height of hippiedom, the suede fringe vest was a classic option for man and woman alike. There's a lot that says "hippie," but this screams "hippie."
☮ Carefully choose your kind of jacket. Although the vintage denim jacket is classic hippie, there are other options if you want to spice things up. If it has beads, embroidery, or patterned trim, go for it. Leather, suede, sheepskin, or even fur (although if you're an animal-conscious hippie, you may want to steer clear) are all fair game. An army jacket could also be appropriate in some situations, although some hippies might misinterpret the clothing. You could embroider peaceful slogans on it to make your intentions clear.
☮ Go for denim bell bottoms. Faded, torn, or patched jeans will work if the rest of the outfit is sufficiently hippie, but the holy grail of hippie bottoms is none other than the denim bell bottoms. Men and women both wore these; they're a staple of hippie culture.
☮ Get some denim shorts, especially if they're ripped or torn. Or better yet, rehab your old ones by fraying, ripping, or tearing them (although it's not strictly necessary).
☮ Choose the right kind of sandal or flip-flop. Though hippies made a point of going barefoot, they often wear flat sandals when this isn’t practical.
☮ Try on some hippie boots. Especially in colder weather, or if you want to dress up your outfit, you can try on some boots. Hippie boots are generally suede or leather and could almost pass for booties in a pinch.
☮ Put on select hand-crafted jewellery. Bonus hippie points if you make your own.
☮ Choose your belt. A wide leather belt, peace-symbol belt, or chain belt would work nicely. Anything that says DIY or vintage pretty much goes.
☮ If you don’t mind altering your clothes, add fringes. In fact, add fringes to everything you can get away with. Back in the day, this was done to pants, shirts, vests, jackets, or anything else that could feasibly be fringed.
☮ Grow your hair out. Whether you're male or female, long hair is the norm. This is mainly because you're not going to bother getting it cut! It should be clean (you still bathe!), but it doesn't have to be anything beyond that.
☮ Wear a headband. Wear your headband horizontally over your forehead, not vertically over your hair, and accessorize it with a flower (a daisy is classic).
☮ Style your hair minimally. Leave your hair long, loose, and low-maintenance. Don't put any chemicals in it. The less you style it, the better.
☮ Consider getting dreadlocks if you think you could deal with them. Getting dreadlocks is notoriously difficult, but they're definitely worth it if you think that you can pull them off. They're a labor of love.
☮ Keep the make-up to a minimum. For women, go practically bare. A bit of black kohl outlining your eyes is okay, but not much more than that. Stay away from lipstick and any outrageous, obvious coloring. You're a child of the earth, after all.
And this it it. Hope some of you try it out!
Winter outfit ideas + some style tips
Winter outfit ideas + some style tips
Hi guys, Tijana here! Your reaction to 'Date outfit ideas' tip was really good, so I decided to make another one! Enjoy! And remember to join our new taglist, by just liking that set!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

1. CASUAL
For the first outfit I went with a simple, everyday style. A pair of cute, pink Uggs completes the whole 'comfy and casual' idea. This is a perfect outfit for a long day at school, and it takes just a few minutes to style!

Sweater ~ pinkqueen.com
Jeans ~ newlook.com
Boots ~ stylebop.com

TIP: Use sweaters with different prints to give your style a nice, yet a comfortable look. I recommend getting some winter themed sweaters (with snowflake, reindeer, lollipop print) just to give your outfit a cute, warm touch.

2. FANCY
For the second outfit I picked something that's more for a special occasion. It's also very adorable, and it's super cool if you're going on a sweet winter date. I also think that curled hair goes perfect with the whole look, and that it really looks amazing under a beanie.

Dress ~ H&M
Beanie ~ houseoffraser.co.uk
Tights ~ francescas.com
Boots ~ yesstyle.com

TIP: Use skater dresses as a cool combo with beanies. It looks stylish, but it still goes very well for a special event. Skater dresses go well with different boots, like wedge or platform boots.

3. CHIC
For the third outfit I used things that scream: COOL! Along with our tip 'How To Be Cool At School' this is just the best look ever! The necklace is very small and it goes pretty nice with the orange details on the boots.

Shirt ~ johnlewis.com
Jeans ~ pieces.com
Boots ~ aeropostale.com (Bethany Mota's collection)
Necklace ~ manictrout.com

TIP: Use different accessories to make the details on some items pop out. Like I did with the details on the boots and the necklace. That gives a cool and unique look to a regular combination.

That's it guys! I know it's not winter yet, but the weather looks like that, for sure! Go and like the 'Taglist' set to join our new, winter taglist!

How To Be Cool At School

How To Be Cool At School

Hey guys, it's Hanna here!

Pretty much everybody want to be cool at school and in this tip I will give you a few tips on how to do that.

1. Making A Good Impression

ツ Get clean. One of the easiest things you can do for your popularity status is stay fresh and smelling good. Kids in school tend to judge a book by its cover, and being smelly is a one-way ticket to the reject table. Take showers regularly, brush your teeth, floss, and use deodorant. You'll look more attractive, whether you're a guy or a girl, too.

ツ Style your hair. In addition to not being clean, you also won't attract a lot of friends if you looked like you just rolled out of bed, regardless of what age you are. Take a few minutes in the morning to style your hair however you think it looks best. A little bit of effort goes a long way, even if it's just a bit of gel or a couple rounds with a flat iron or blow dryer.

ツ Pay attention to your clothes. Every school is different, and there is not one individual look that ensures you'll be cool. At some schools its the rebels who are "cool," at others it's the "jocks." The only thing you can really do is pay attention to your clothes and make sure you walk out the door with a look you know you like.

2. Making Lots of Friends

ツ Join a handful of organizations. Being cool isn't just about being popular, it's about being known. And what's the easiest way to get your name and your face recognized? By joining groups at school, of course. Try to join a few that don't overlap – that way you'll meet the most people and have a wide variety of interests.

ツ Observe. Try to identify who's where on the "social ladder." It's not that big of a deal (being cool is about being liked, which is different than being popular), but it will help you know how to identify with people. It's a good idea to be friends with people on all rungs of the ladder – you never know where you'll end up.

ツ Be friendly with everyone. Again, being cool doesn't necessarily mean you're popular. There are plenty of "popular" kids that are mean and not actually liked. Being one of them won't get you anywhere. Instead, aim to be popular and cool by having people legitimately like you. To do that, just be friendly and nice to everyone you meet.

ツ Don't try so hard. Just about every adult will tell you that when you grow up, you'll realize that being cool doesn't really matter and if they would've known that being cool is about not trying, they wouldn't have stressed so much. Though it's easier said than done, try to relax a little. If you're trying too hard, it's a turnoff and people won't think you're confident and that you don't like yourself.

ツ Avoid being a bully or the victim. Don't be mean to other people in your school just to make yourself seem cooler. In fact, people generally hate bullies, they're just too scared to admit it to their faces.[2] In time, the bullies lose their power and then they're left with nothing. It may be tempting now, but in the long run it will only do you harm.

3. Being Friendly, Confident And Likable

ツ Be open-minded. Remember that part above about how being cool is about being liked by lots of different people? Well, to get all these different types of people liking you, you've got to like them. Open your mind and try to see that not only the coolest kids have value – that everyone does. You'll come off as a friendly, more likable, happier person – and that's the type of person most of us want to be around.

ツ Respect people. Being respectful to others even if they aren't your friends shows that you don't discriminate people based on anything because they are not your friends. You'll develop a positive reputation of always being kind and considerate and being friends with everyone because they can rely on you and that you won't judge them. That definitely sounds pretty cool.

ツ Keep it positive. If you want to be a magnet for people, to get all of them liking you, stay positive. Keep your chin up, be willing to laugh at yourself, and spread your positivity and awesomeness. Other people will end up flocking to your side so it rubs off on them.

ツ Stay true to you. Though the phrase "be yourself" is pretty cliche, it doesn't mean that it's not valuable advice. In fact, it should be pretty clear between "don't try too hard" and "stick to your own sense of style" that being yourself is where it's at. Being yourself means you're comfortable with yourself and you're more confident. When you try to be someone else, you're just an imitation, and imitations are definitely not cool.

And that's it. Hope it helps!

xoxo

How To Be Different

How To Be Different

Hey guys, it's Hanna!

There are many people out there who want to be "part of the crowd." If you want to be the leader and stand out from the crowd instead, then this article is for you. It's a wonderful feeling to know that you are original and unique.

♒ Know you're unique. For starters, know that you're already different than everyone on the planet. Sure, some people are more different than others, but all of us have a unique set of experiences and characteristics that spell out a different reality than everyone else on Earth. No one else has the same brain you do, the same thoughts you do, and the same reactions as you do. You're different by just being human.

♒ Labels are pretty useless. Even striving to be different isn't something that's truly achievable. A quick change of cultures will show you that people operate differently by default. Instead, accept that you're already unique and work with yourself. Who is you, anyway?

♒ Find yourself and be yourself. In order to be as different as possible, you have to be you -- not a carbon copy of someone else. If you don't know who you are, that process can seem a bit scary. In order to be yourself, you have to find yourself. Do you know what it is you like? What you are like? Who are you when no one else is around?

♒ Spend some time alone. It's normal nowadays to be constantly bombarded with stimuli -- whether it's on a screen or the people around us. To really get down to who you are and what makes you different, spend some time alone. Disconnect from everything. What are you left with? Meditate on what matters to you.

♒ Know what you want. Be very careful that you actually want to be different. Maybe you're just in a group of friends that you don't jive with and that little voice in your head is just being misinterpreted.

♒ Know how you want to be different. Once you've pinpointed what "different" is to you, how do you want to go about it? If you're in a group of friends that only eats Swedish protein bars and wears pink on Wednesdays, how do you want to go off on your own? Do you want to become a math mastermind or do you just want to shake it up by wearing purple? You could be different in so many ways.

♒ Observe. Take a step back from your surroundings for a moment and just observe. How are people behaving? How do they interact with each other (friends, strangers, cashiers, lovers)? What assumptions do they all make? How are they dressed? If you were to walk in unexpectedly, how could you not fit into the mold?

♒ Do what you like. Straight up, you're going to enjoy some things that are trendy and some things that are not. That's fine! As long as you're doing what you enjoy, you'll have a combination that's probably unique to you. Maybe you love baking, jiujitsu, and thrift-shopping. If you enjoy it, it'll feel right.

♒ Try new things. We are naturally raised as part of a group. Therefore, we're constantly being exposed to things that others around us have already approved. These things are good -- they can open us up to things we're not even aware of -- but it's also important to try things that are brand spankin' new to you that other people haven't already endorsed. How else will you find out what you like and do not like?

♒ Color outside the lines. From a very young age, we're sort of brainwashed to fit into our society. We wear clothes, eat with utensils, go to school, do things to match our gender, et cetera and so forth. It's hard to realize that this is a box you can get out of. There are lines that you can color outside of. It just hasn't occurred to most of us.

♒ Be absurd. As if the dinosaur example wasn't enough, instead of just coloring outside the lines, you don't even have to use your metaphorical crayons on the metaphorical paper. If you want to go around school wearing headphones and dancing like you're in a Selena Gomez music video, the thing is, you can.

♒ Shake hands with your enemies. This is a way to say act differently toward people than they expect. In a good way, of course! And see where it gets you -- who knows, the next time you have to deal with a cop, shake his hand, ask him about himself, and see if you get out of that ticket! You very well may.

♒ Dress for yourself. It's really easy to get caught up in what society tells us looks good and is attractive. While it's impossible to completely avoid that (without making the clothes yourself), use fashion like a cafeteria -- take what you want and leave the rest. Do you like a certain trend? Great. Would you rather be sporting a pair of rain boots from 1972 than a pair of Uggs? Awesome -- maybe your mom has some in her closet.

♒ Don't get caught up in games. It's hard to come up with a few examples that everyone does. You could say, for example, "listen to unpopular music," but there are loads of people that do that. However, one thing that seems to be a pretty normal characteristic across the board is drama. We looooooooove it. If you want to be different, avoid it! Don't let it be a part of your life. And definitely don't start it!

♒ Say what everyone else is thinking. One of the games people play is not saying what we mean. We're afraid of standing out, making noise, hurting someone's feelings, or just getting embarrassed. There will be times when an entire room is thinking something, but no one says it. The term "elephant in the room" exists for a reason! Be that person!

♒ Don't bother trying to impress. If you haven't noticed, there's a pattern here of how others' opinions shouldn't really matter. Since most people are concerned with impressing others and how they're perceived, try not to do it. It's often when we're not trying to impress that we do the most impressing!

♒ Know the world works in opposites. Nothing is really as it seems. So many people are trying to be different it results in them all being the same! Being quiet may mean that when you talk, people hear you louder. When you're not trying to attract that boy or girl, they become attracted to you. So trying to be different may not get you anywhere.

♒ Know you'll bump heads. Society isn't super good at accepting what isn't trendy. People are praised for being fashionable and pretty -- few are praised for expanding our limits and coloring outside the lines. Those people may not welcome you with open arms. And that's fine! You don't need 'em. But you do need to know it's gonna happen. That way you'll be prepared for when it does.

And that's it! I hope it helps.

xoxo

How To Dress To Make Yourself Look Skinnier

How To Dress To Make Yourself Look Skinnier

Hey guys, it's Hanna!

Plenty of people feel self-conscious about their weight, and many may even feel insecure about how heavy they think they look. With a few simple fashion tricks, however, you can help yourself look a little skinnier. In general, look for clothing and details that force the eye to look up and down rather than side to side. This reduces the amount of width a person sees, making you look skinnier in the process.

♡ Wear undergarments that fit. This is especially important when selecting a bra. The right bra helps you shape your silhouette by keeping your chest in check and your waist defined. Avoid styles that will flatten you completely or styles that allow your bust to sag.

♡ Avoid undergarments that offer no support. Thin bikini bottoms and thongs cover the bare minimum. Try boy shorts, briefs, and other styles that help pull in your buttocks, stomach, and thigh. These cuts create a tighter, smoother appearance.

♡ Try body-slimming undergarments. If you want extra help creating a shapely figure and keeping your excess weight in check, try a body shaper. These undergarments slip over your stomach and thigh, preventing these areas from jiggling around too much. You may find this option a little excessive for daily wear, but it is especially helpful for special occasions.

♡ Consider nylon stockings with a “control top” the next time you find yourself in a dress or skirt. Control top hosiery has a tall, thick layer at the top designed to stretch over your stomach and keep it in place. This creates a smoother look that may make your dress look more flattering.

♡ Buy the right size. Clothes that are too tight will show every flaw and excess pound your body has, and clothes that are too baggy will make it look heavier than you actually are. Only clothes that fit you properly will flatter you.

♡ Avoid boxy clothing. Stiff, uncompromising fabrics in straight “box” cuts usually make people look heavier than they are. These fabrics are especially hard to deal with in jackets and other tops.

♡ Also avoid clingy clothes. Tight, Spandex-like material will cling to your body and show every roll and fold you have. When you want to look skinnier, You should aim to draw attention away from excess fat, not show it.

♡ Stick with loose, flowing fabrics. Materials that lightly drape over your frame are the best way to go since they have enough structure to follow along your body's contours without smothering them.

♡ Introduce a little black into your wardrobe. Black has a slimming effect and can look especially nice on trousers, skirts, and dresses. Do not overdo it, however. Too much black can easily create a drab, depressing look, so you should pair it with other colors.

♡ Add some dark wash denim and other rich colors to your style. Usually, dark colors have a slimming effect similar to the effect created by wearing black. A good way to bring color and interest into your wardrobe is by including a variety of rich colors, from deep plum to dark olive and navy blue to chocolate brown.

♡ Look for bold colors and patterns. Bold patterns can distract the eye and camouflage your outline, causing the observer to notice the item of clothing instead of your size. Choose patterns in bright or deep colors, though, since patterns in light colors may actually draw further attention to your imperfections and make you look larger.

♡ Try monochromatic color schemes. Large blocks of solid color draw the eye up and down rather than side to side. As a result, the eye takes in more height than width, causing you to appear thinner and taller. Try wearing a dress in a solid color or a deep blue top with dark wash jeans.

♡ Stock up on v-neck tops, V-necks and other vertical necklines draw the eye up and down, elongating and narrowing your torso. Avoid horizontal necklines, like crew necks and boat necks, since these may make your shoulders and bust look wider.

♡ Opt for vertical details and avoid horizontal details. Think pinstripes, pleats, and vertical zippers, and avoid horizontal stripes or rows of embellishments. Vertical details prompt the eye to look up and down instead of side to side, which helps create the illusion of slenderness.

♡ Balance out your legs with flared pants. Skinny jeans and other trousers with a tapered leg draw attention to your hips and upper leg, which can make your top look heavy. Instead, look for straight-leg, boot-cut, and other pant styles with a slight flare. These styles pull the eyes down and away, creating an overall leaner look.

♡ Look for A-line, knee-length skirts. A-line skirts are fitted at the hip and upper thigh, but flare out toward the knee, creating a balanced look that prevents your legs from looking thick and top heavy. Knee-length skirts are the most universally flattering, but many mid-calf styles may also work well depending on your height.

♡ Hide problem areas. For instance, if you carry excess weight in your stomach, look for tunics and wrap tops that glide over your stomach without drawing attention to it. Lean toward clothing that carefully masks your problem areas without adding too much bulk.

♡ Avoid placing details over your problem areas. If you carry excess weight in your thighs, look for bottoms with few pockets and no embellishments on the hip. Details draw attention, and any part of your body covered in visual detailing will look more noticeable and wider.

♡ Accentuate your positive features. If you have firm legs, show them off by raising your skirt's hemline a few inches. If you have a well-defined waist, look for nipped waistlines and belts that really call attention to it. By drawing attention to the most slender parts of your body, you create the illusion of overall slenderness.

♡ Try a high heel or platform. High heels make your leg look long and lean, and a leaner-looking leg helps create a leaner look overall. If you have a wider foot, you can also wear a short platform without making your foot look too chunky or out of proportion.

♡ Avoid strappy sandals and kitten heels. If you have wide feet, strappy sandals will only accentuate the heft of your foot. Similarly, a large foot looks even larger when squeezed into tiny kitten heels. Stick with closed styles that have a decent amount of height to slim down your foot.

♡ Also avoid shoes with ankle straps. Ankle straps place a horizontal line at the top of your foot, which cuts off your leg and makes it look shorter. A shorter leg also looks stouter, which reduces the illusion of overall skinniness.

♡ Draw the eye to your face with the right make-up. A touch of eye shadow or a pleasant shade of lipstick keeps the focus on your face and off your body. Never wear too much make-up, however. Add a bit of color to one feature—usually either your eyes or your lips—but keep the rest of your make-up looking natural.

♡ Style your hair. Ask your stylist about styles that elongate your neck or face. In general, wide bob cuts may add too much width to your face, but many long, layered styles direct the eye up and down instead of side to side.

♡ Accessorize with boldness. Think bright, sassy necklaces and dangling scarves that drape over your front. Stick with jewelry and other accessories that create a vertical look, and avoid horizontal accessories like chokers that may make your neck or other features look thicker.

♡ Try a belt or sash. Even though it creates a horizontal line across your body. A fashion belt tied around your natural waist may emphasize the narrowness of your waist and create a flattering, slim silhouette. Stick with narrow belts over thick belts to create this silhouette without encouraging the eye to focus on your figure from side to side.

So this is another long tip. I promise that my next tips will be shorter, but I really felt like a lot of people wanted advice on this topic so I made it longer. Hope it helps!

Date outfit ideas + some style tips

Date outfit ideas + some style tips

Hi guys, Tijana here! So for this tip, I decided to go with something a little different. If you remember I made a 'Conversation Starters' tip, and now I had in mind that this can be your next step! A date! I'm just going to tell you what I used for these outfits (plus some style tips)! Enjoy!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1. For the first outfit (on the left) I decided to go with something gentle, cute, and feminine. The color beige and the floral print give it a nice, warm look. The wedges are also in a light color and they fit in this style.
Skirt ~ H&M
Wedges ~ CharlotteRusse.com
TIP: Never combine two items with a print (a skirt and a shirt; leggings and a sweater...) You don't want to look like a coloring book. Instead, go for a one-color shirt and a printed skirt (or the other way around).
2. For the second outfit I choose a winning color combo. Black and red. With all the details in black, the red dress is popping out. You can use that color blast on any item. This outfit is perfect if you want a bold, but yet a feminine and sweet style.
Boots ~ 2020AVE.com
TIP: Use the 'color blast' to distract the attention from any area on your body that you are not so happy with. On example, dress in dark colors and wear a bright dress to distract the attention from your legs.
3. For the third outfit I went with something cozy and warm. It's a really nice, fall combination. Also, I personally think that the sweater-dress is perfect if you want to be warm in winter and fall, but still look amazing.
Leg Warmers ~ uniqlo.com
TIP: Leg warmers are a trendy detail and they also keep you warm. Wear them with leggings, skirts, and anything you want. They are a great combo with boots and cardigans. When it's fall and winter, you got to have them in your closet!
That's it for this tip! I hope this will help you, and. I would love to see your opinion in the comments! Tell me what your favorite outfit is!
Lots of love,
Tijana
