How To Be Special

How To Be Special

Hey guys, Hanna here!

Who are you? What makes you special? For some people, this can be a great source of anxiety and stress. But being special doesn't just mean being exceptional, or being "better" than others at some task or ability or skill. Being special means being respected. Being loved. If you want to stand out from the crowd and be recognized as a special person, you can learn to start developing your inner self, giving it the respect it deserves. You can learn to stand out and make yourself a memorable, special person, who deserves the admiration of others, and the admiration of yourself.

01. Find your you. No one can tell you how to be special. Being special involves finding the unique inner core that radiates your "you-ness" and doing the work of building that core up. Whatever you want to call it–your soul, your essence, your chi, your mojo, your groove–you have to embrace yourself, define yourself, and build yourself up. It takes work. What does it mean to be you? Who are you? And how can you be the best version of yourself? These are questions and struggles that take up a whole lifetime. Keep in mind the following thought experiments to get your mind oriented to your inner you-ness:
♡ When do you feel completely at ease? What makes you comfortable?
♡ Describe your ideal day. What would it include?
♡ What do other people praise in your work or your behaviour? What do you do well?
♡ Describe a recent disagreement you've had with someone or something. How did you differ?
♡ How would you change yourself if you could? Why?

02. Identify special characteristics in others. What does it mean to be special? Look at the people you think are exemplary, notable, or special in some way and identify the key characteristics that make it so for you. You might think people who stick up for themselves stand out in your mind as being special, or people who devote themselves fully to their work, or people who are reserved and stoic in the face of adversity. This will be different for all of us, so focus on figuring out what it is that you respect about your grandfather, your close friend, or a loved one, not what other people say.
♡ Try to stay away from celebrities and stick to looking at people you know in real life. It's easy to identify superficial things, to say that Brad Pitt is special because he's so rich and good-looking, but it's hard to identify or even know the true core of his person. We can only see the public persona, which radiates artificial movie-star specialness, not the real person.
♡ Authority doesn't make someone more special. If someone has power over you, is more successful than you, or is well-known and respected, that doesn't mean that you need to emulate them.

03. Take off your masks. We all wear them. When you go to work, you might have a professional mask, and when you meet up with a date after work you might switch into your dating mask. When you're with your friends, you might wear one mask, and when you're with your family, you might wear another. Once you go about the work of identifying the things that make you truly you, these masks become less useful. If you want to be special, let us see what's behind the mask.
♡ To figure out you relationship to your masks, try and think of a time that you felt you were being fake, or inauthentic. What were the circumstances? How did it make you feel?
♡ Check out your Facebook and Twitter feeds for a good example of digital masks in progress. People want to project images of themselves for others to digest, crafting that image in a particular way. It's inauthentic, in most cases. You're not getting the "real" version of someone.

04. Keep your ego in check. A desire to be special is often a desire to be validated by others. We want to be respected, to be looked upon as successful, happy people who should be envied. But being special doesn't mean being exceptional at everything. It doesn't mean being the best tennis player, or the author with the most publications, or the richest lawyer at the law firm. It means being true to the authentic you-ness and staying true to your own integrity. Satisfy yourself, don't use the satisfaction of others to inflate your ego.
♡ Psychologists will often refer to inner and outer locus of control. Someone with an inner locus of control finds satisfaction from within, looking to satisfy themselves with their work and actions. People with outer locus of control look to others for satisfaction. Which are you?

05. Surprise yourself. People who are truly special are always changing, shifting, and surprising themselves with their ability to grow as people and to develop their authentic inner selves. If you want to be special, identify a rut that you've been in, and try and get a fresh perspective on it.
♡ Keep learning new skills, reading new books, and challenging yourself. You're never too old, too smart, or too experienced to have your preconceptions shaken. You're never too special to be wrong.

06. Be a lion or a lioness. People who are special don't wait around for good things to happen, special people go on the prowl for what they want, and take it. Special people have claws. Identify the things that would make you feel more satisfied, the things that would improve your condition, and identify the steps that will be necessary in getting them. Be ceaseless in your quest for those goals, things, and stages. Get what you want.
♡ Focus less on excuses. People who aren't special spend a lot of time talking about "back in the days" and "what ifs." Don't give yourself a chance to have those moments.

07. Uncensor yourself. Let yourself show. Be your true, liberated, uncensored, natural self when you're alone and when you're in public. If there is a single part of you that you don't let other people see, consider opening up more and being more vulnerable. If you tend toward the quiet, learn to start speaking your mind when it's necessary.
♡ Don't be a "yes" person. If you disagree with someone, voice your dissent. People respect others who speak their mind and are unafraid of looking for the truth. If you're around people who need their ego inflated by glad-handing sycophants, well, they're not special. Ditch 'em.
♡ Being uncensored doesn't mean letting every thought that flits through your mind come out of your mouth. Being special doesn't mean being purposefully strange, cruel, or rude. It just means that you must stop quieting yourself when you should be speaking, acting, or thinking. If it needs saying, say it. If it needs thinking, think it.

08. Surround yourself with new people. It's good to find your people, a tight-knit group of friends and loved ones that you feel comfortable with. But special people take extra effort to shake up their expectations and their preconceptions, and meet and attempt to understand all kinds of people. Be willing to listen.
♡ If you're a young person, getting a job can be a big learning experience and a way of helping to develop your empathy skills. Try and get an after-school job for a few hours each week and take it seriously.
♡ Hang out with people who you actively disagree with on religious, political, or moral grounds. Don't try to convince people that they're wrong about something, try to understand them. Open your mind.

09. Develop your own style. Give yourself a chance to feel confident and special by treating yourself and taking your appearance seriously. Buy clothes that are flattering to your shape and that you enjoy wearing. Groom yourself in a way that makes you feel confident. If that means crew-cut and cowboy boots, great. If that means waist-length dreads and Tevas, great. You don't need to be a Gucci model or competing in some kind of hipster Olympics to look special. There's no special style. Go with what looks good on you, what makes you feel confident.

10. Be positive or embrace your inner grouch. There's no special attitude, or special way of being. A special person doesn't need to be always grinning positively like an idiot or always deadly-serious and humorless like a monk. If you tend toward one or the other, don't worry about whether or not it's "wrong." Just be yourself. If you're a hugger, be a hugger. If you're not a hugger, tell people you're not. Special and exceptional people come in all variety of temperaments and attitudes.

11. Stop telling people what you think they want to hear. There's no one thing you can say that will make you special to others. Being agreeable doesn't make you special, it makes you agreeable. It might help you climb certain ladders, but are those really the ladders you want to be climbing? Be authentic to yourself and you'll be working toward a more authentic and satisfying path for yourself. Say what's on your mind. Tell the truth.

13. Be willing to fail. Part of staying uncensored, unique, and special involves taking risks to get what you want. Don't let the possibility of failure keep you from getting what you want. Be willing to fail, and fail early, and fail often. Learn the wrong answers so you can be one step closer to getting what you want in the long run.

14. Empathize and see the specialness in others. While being special involves a lot of working on yourself, it's absolutely important that you keep yourself focused equally on others. Recognize the specialness and the exceptional qualities in others. Don't let your ego get in the way of respecting and celebrating special people. That'll make you more special in turn.

Sorry for a long tip :/ anyway I hope you enjoyed it!

Making rainbow cakes

Making rainbow cakes

MAKING RAINBOW CAKES

INGREDIENTS

You'll need 3 x these ingredients for six sponges

- 125g butter, softened, plus a little extra for greasing
- 225g plain flour
- 150g golden caster sugar
- 3 medium eggs (very important to use the correct size)
- 1 tsp baking powder
- pinch of salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- edible food colouring - red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple, plus optional pink (see below)

For the icing
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 x 250g tubs cream cheese or mascarpone
- 350g icing sugar

METHOD

1. Heat oven to 180C. Grease 2 x 20cm round sandwich tins and line the bases with baking parchment. Tip all the sponge ingredients, apart from the food colouring, into a mixing bowl, then beat with an electric whisk until smooth.

2. Working quickly, weigh the mixture into another bowl to work out the total weight, then weigh exactly half the mixture back into the mixing bowl. Pick 2 of your colours and stir a little into each mix. Keep going until you are happy with the colour – the colour of the batter now will be very similar to the finished cake, so be brave! Scrape the different batters into the tins, trying to spread and smooth as much as possible – but try not to waste a drop of the batter – a rubber spatula will help you. Bake on the same oven shelf for 12 mins until a skewer poked into the middle comes out clean.

3. Gently turn the cakes out onto a wire rack to cool. Wash the tins and bowls thoroughly, and start again from step 1 – this time using another 2 colours. Unless you’re making the optional pink layer, repeat one more time to get 6 sponges, all of different colours. Leave them all to cool.
To make the icing, very briefly beat the vanilla and cream cheese or mascarpone with an electric whisk until smooth. Sift in the icing sugar and gently fold in with a spatula. Be careful – the more you work it, the runnier it will get, increasing the chance of splitting.

4. Smear a little icing on your cake stand or plate – just a splodge to stick the first sponge. Start with the red, then spread with some icing right to the very edge. Repeat, sandwiching on top the orange, yellow, green, blue and finally purple sponges. Spread the remaining icing thickly all over the sides and top of the cake. How to Make... Paper Cranes // Raelene

How to Make... Paper Cranes // Raelene

HOW TO MAKE A PAPER CRANE !!

STEPS:

01. Find a blank square sheet of paper. If you're working with square origami paper, that's great. If you have an ordinary piece of printer paper, just fold one of the top corners across the paper until it aligns with the bottom edge of the sheet, leaving a long strip of rectangular paper. Cut this paper to make the paper square.

02. Fold the paper in half into a rectangle.

03. Fold the top of the paper down until the top edge aligns with bottom edge of the paper and then crease. Unfold the paper.

04. Fold it in half the other way.

05. Fold vertically from right to left.

06. Crease then unfold. You should end up with a cross crease.

07. Fold the top right corner down to the bottom left corner.

08. Crease then unfold.

09. Fold the top left corner down to the bottom right corner.

10. Crease then unfold. You should end up with an asterisk-like crease.

11. Bring the the lower right side of the top flap to the middle line. Crease. Repeat on the lower left side. You'll have a top that resembles a kite.

12. Bring the right corner of the top flap to the middle crease. This will make it so that the lower right edge lines up with the crease.

13. Fold down the top corner to make the crease lie along the horizontal line created by the previous step.

14. Unfold the last three folds. After you do this, you'll return to having a square with an opening that faces down.

15. Fold the bottom corner of the square up along the horizontal crease from the previous steps up to the top corner.

16. Reverse the two creases on the upper flap by folding it in the opposite direction that it naturally folds.

17. Bring the outer edges of the paper to the middle and flatten it. This will create a diamond shape with two flaps sticking out on the right and left sides.

18. Turn the paper over and repeat steps 6-9 on this side.

19. Fold the outer edges of the diamond to the middle crease.

20. Fold the right flap over to the left. Do this as you would turn the page of a book.

21. Turn over the shape. Repeat on this side. Then fold the right flap over to the left again.

22. Fold the bottom tip of the top flap up to the top corner.Turn over and repeat on the other side.

23. Fold the right flap over to the left. Again, do this as you would turn the page of a book.

24. Turn over and repeat on the back. Now the head and tail are nestled in between what will become the wings.

25. Fold the wings down so that they are perpendicular to the body, head, and tail.

26. Fold the tip of the head down.

27. Pull the head and tail out so that they line up with the outer edges of the body.

28. Create 3D volume. If you want a three dimensional body, you can grasp the opposite corners on the bottom of the body and gently pull the shape to create the desired volume. Or you can blow in the hole at the bottom of the crane.

29. Enjoy your paper crane. You can give away the crane, hang it up, or use it as a decoration.

How to keep your hair healthy

How to keep your hair healthy

HOW TO KEEP YOUR HAIR HEALTHY

- Make sure you don't wash your hair everyday. Washing your hair everyday isn' t healthy for your hair. If you wash your hair everyday it will make your hair dry. Washing your hair three to four times a week is plenty.

- Using conditioner can help dry hair. Conditioner can help your hair to become smoother, softer and it will make it easier for you to brush your hair after you are done. Because of this it will help you cause less damage when brushing it.

- After washing your hair, your hair will be easier to damage then if you haven't washed it. When combing your hair after showering start by brushing 10-20 cm from the bottom of your hair and work you way up combing downwards. If you have have a wide tooth comb it will cause less hair to fall out of your head.

- Don't dry your hair using a towel. If you use a towel to dry your hair if will cause the outer layer of your hair to roughen up, this will make your hair easier to break.

- Don't blow dry your hair too often. This will cause your hair to be dry and it will cause split ends and breakage. The healthiest way is to let your hair dry naturally.

- When trying to keep your hair in a healthy state your best friend is salmon. Salmon has omega-3 fatty acids, a high vitamin D and protein content, all of which are vital for strong, healthy hair.

- Be careful when tying your hair up. You don't want to tie your hair up too tight. This will cause your hair to snap or break.

- When using heating tools make sure to use heat protection.

How To Grow Your Hair The Healthy Way

How To Grow Your Hair The Healthy Way

Hey guys, it's Hanna!

I know that most girls want prefect long and healthy hair. Here are a few tips that can help you grow healthy hair!

1. Don’t be harsh on your hair.
Harsh chemical treatments and hot styling tools can cause damage in any hair type. Most commonly, hair is burned and will break more easily, causing the growth process to slow. If you absolutely must use heat, use heat protection sprays.

2. Trim your ends regularly
I know what you're thinking, ''What? Why would i trim my hair? I want to grow it out not cut it''
Well, regular trims will help prevent split ends and breakage. If your hair is damaged at the ends, it is likely that it will cause your hair to break and become uneven. It also can prevent your hair from growing very much.

3. You are what you eat
It is as important to put healthy ingredients into your body as it is to put nourishing treatments on your hair. If you maintain a healthy diet, your hair will appreciate it and look and feel better.

4. Shampooing 101
Wash your hair with a shampoo that nurtures your hair. A harsh shampoo can cause dryness and lead to breakage. And also don't wash your hair every day, because this really dries your hair out and that is not good.

5. Don’t be like Marcia Brady
Brushing your hair 100 times a day will cause breakage. It is important to brush your hair regularly to evenly distribute essential oils, but a few gentle strokes each day will do the trick!

6. Moisturise, moisturise, moisturise!
If you don’t deep condition your hair on a regular basis, it may break and cause the hair to become finer.

7. Apply conditioner from crown to roots
Fix the problem of damaged ends before they start by applying conditioner from the roots of your hair through to the ends.

8. Blow drying your hair
Blow dry your hair with ceramic round brushes and hold the head of the dryer at least six inches from your hair to reduce potential damage. But if you want your hair to be even healthier, try letting them air dry. It will take longer, but it's worth it.

9. Wet hair is fragile hair
Wet hair is extremely fragile. Any pulling, combing or brushing can cause stretching or breakage. Never brush wet hair—use a wide-tooth comb or pick to separate tangles before styling.

10. Ponytails
Don't tie them too tight! If you pull your hair back too tightly, it will cause the hair to break in the area where the ponytail is. That is why you shouldn't wear them too often. but, if you must, just don't do them too tight!

And that's about it. Hope you find this helpful!

xoxo

How To Be A Social Butterfly: Getting The Look

How To Be A Social Butterfly:

Hey guys, it' Hanna here again.

This is the fourth and last set in the "How to be a social butterfly" collection. Hope you liked and enjoyed reading it!

εїз Have good hygiene. This is good advice for everyone. Even hermits. If you want to feel your best and look your best, it's important to shower, brush your teeth, wear deodorant, blah, blah, blah. People tend to judge a book by its cover -- so don't start off on the wrong foot by stinking up the room with yours.

εїз Don't adhere to a label. We humans want the simplest way to size up everything we see. Unfortunately, because of that, a lot of judging happens. If you walk into a high school wearing all black, too much eyeliner, and carrying around a backpack that says, "I Pray to Hell", you might not make it onto the cheer squad. So to fit in with every group, wherever you are, don't subscribe to a label. It's the only way to fit in with everyone.

εїз The most obvious way to do this is with your clothes. Have your own style. Don't avoid trends, but don't actively seek them out. And when it comes to your actions, do a little of everything! Be the blonde that heads the environmental club, plays volleyball, and still makes time to practice her french horn. Why not?

εїз Put effort into your appearance. In case no one has told you, life is generally easier for pretty people. It's another of the same: humans want a quick way to judge things, and being pretty is equivalent to being good. It's not right, but it's kind of how it is. Since it probably won't change anytime soon, to be accepted more easily, putting effort into your appearance will take you a long way.

εїз This doesn't mean dolling yourself up to the nines. It means wearing clothes that are ironed, sort of match, doing your hair, and maybe throwing on some chapstick. The nines are appropriate once in a while, but fives and sixes will get you through the day to day.

εїз Give the right impression. Try as Oscar the Grouch might, he probably won't make a ton of friends and be accepted in the majority of circles. He's just so negative. Be the person you want people to see! Be open, communicative, and fun to be around. When you're received well, it's a lot easier to keep going.

εїз The simplest thing you can do is make yourself approachable. Put your phone down, for goodness sake! Look up and around your world. Uncross your arms and look engaged in the moment. How else will people come in and out?

And here are a few more tips for you guys:

εїз Don't worry about what other people think of you. As long as you love yourself, and have friends that think the same, you'll be okay.

εїз People like it when you are a little zany. Don't be too shy.

εїз Keep in touch with friends. Having too many can be hard, and some people will feel ignored.

εїз Be yourself when flirting, and don't flirt with people you don't like just to show off to your friends.

εїз If people disrespect you, tell them off respectfully but firmly.

εїз Being too social may make some people think you're fake. After all, no one likes everyone.

And that is all.

xoxo

How to make Paper Cranes // Raelene ♥

How to make Paper Cranes // Raelene ♥

Step 1: Start with a square piece of origami paper.

Step 2: Fold the paper in half by taking the top corner and folding it to the bottom corner.

Step 3: Fold the triangle in half by taking the left corner and folding it to the right.

Step 4: Take the top flap and open it, creasing the left and right sides so you can fold the top/right corner to the bottom corner

Step 5: Now turn the paper over and do the same thing to the other side.

Step 6: To do that, lift the left flap up so it stands vertically

Step 7: Grab the left and right side of the flap and open it up. Crease the sides so you can fold the top corner down to the bottom.

Step 8: Take both sides of the top layer and fold them in to meet at the middle, then unfold.

Step 9: Open the flap upwards.

Step 10: Fold the left and right sides inward.

Step 11: Flip it over and repeat steps 8 to 10. So it looks a bit like a diamond.

Step 12: Take the upper layer of both sides and fold the lower parts into the center

Step 13: Turn the paper over and do the same thing to the other side.

Step 14: Take the right flap and fold it over to the left.

Step 15: Flip the whole piece over and do the same to the other side (folding the right flap over to the left).

Step 16: Take the bottom flap and fold it over to the top

Step 17: Flip the paper over and do the same thing to the other side.

Step 18: Take the top layer of the right flap and fold it over to the left.

Step 19: Flip it over and do the same thing to the other side (folding the right flap over to the left).

Step 20: Just like you see in the picture diagram, take the left and right pieces underneath the top flap and pull them apart. Crease the bottom of those pieces so that they'll stay spread apart.

Step 21: Take the left and right pieces underneath the top flap and pull them apart. Crease the bottom of those pieces so that they'll stay spread apart.

Step 22: Take one of those pieces that you pulled apart, and slightly open the top corner so that you can bend a portion of it down to form the head. After bending a portion down, crease the sides of the head up so the piece will stay bent.

Step 22: Bend the wings down at a 90 degree angle and voila! You made a beautiful origami crane!

How To Be A Social Butterfly: Interacting With Others

How To Be A Social Butterfly: Interacting With Others

Hey guys, it's Hanna!

This is the third on out of four tips about how to be a social butterfly.

εїз Approach people. You remember how we talked about how accepting compliments is best done with a simple "Thank you?" Well, turns out that's right for most social interactions! Walking up to someone and saying, "Hi. I don't believe we've met," is an incredibly direct, confident, effective way of starting a conversation. Humans just want to make it harder for some reason!

εїз Sometimes you've gotta do the approaching because other people just aren't gutsy enough. Like you used to be! They're all nervous to initiate social interaction. Just walking up to someone, looking them in the eye, smiling, and saying, "Hi, my name is Hanna (or whatever your name is)," can get the ball rolling. (A handshake wouldn't hurt.)

εїз When you have three minutes with a person, seize it. At the bus stop? Talk to the guy next to you about his bag. In line at the checkout? Ask the lady how her day is going. The little things count just as much!

εїз Master small talk. Surprisingly enough, it doesn't have to be painful if you don't want it to be. And it doesn't just have to be about the weather! Small talk can be fun and fulfilling when the right topic and the right person rolls around. If you have even five minutes with a person, start chatting. Totally not threatening too!

εїз While Brits are cool talking about the weather, you may want to avoid it across the pond. Since that may or may not be out of the question, talk about whatever is in front of you. Long line at the store? A holiday coming up? The bus is late? Or maybe you don't know what to order at the coffee shop! Don't think of it as making meaningless chatter -- think of it as brightening someone else's otherwise boring day.

εїз This skill will help you fill awkward silences. So the next time you're sitting by that girl in class that you've spoken to a few times, that project you're working on together next quarter won't be so awkward.

εїз Practice talking to everyone. You're naturally going to find it easier to talk to some people over others. Those you have the most in common with will be the ones you gravitate to. While it's fine to spend a lot of time with these people, go out of your way to talk to everyone else. You can only get better with practice!

εїз This is easiest if you can find common ground. Do you share a class? A hobby? A boss? The weather? Everyone likes being paid attention to, point blank. When you have five minutes to kill, fight the urge to go poke your best friend and walk up to that girl you've been meaning to make chitchat with. Isn't she in your Chem class?

εїз Seem interested. The best face to put on when you're talking to someone is your interested face. Ever talked to someone who just doesn't seem to give a damn about a word you say? It's the worst. Now have you ever talked to someone who made you seem like the only person in the room? Bingo.

εїз Along with smiling and devoting them your entire attention both verbally and non-verbally, ask them questions. When something comes up, get the details. It's the fastest way to gravitate the conversation to a point where you both feel it was meaningful.

εїз Pretend you've known them your entire life. Those people you don't know so well will be a bit hard to talk to in the beginning. If the idea of making small talk with virtual strangers or meager acquaintances sounds painful, you're gonna need to get over that! It's what social butterflies do. The easiest way to get over that hump is to think of them as people you've known your entire life. What's keeping you from going, "Hey, man! How're you doing'?" Nothing, that's what.

εїз When we've known people our entire lives, we drop the facade. We are ourselves. When that pretty girl or guy you like walks in the room, you think, " How's my hair?" and when your childhood neighbor walks in, you find a Cheetos on your pants, give it a quick once-over for dust and hair, shove it in your mouth and say, "Yo." While you might not want to go that far, you can see where being around someone who's relaxed and themselves is super calming.

εїз Alright, some people might be freaked out by this. The introverts, those with massive trust issues, they might not take to your super comfortable approach. So before you go about asking them how the old ball and chain is, gauge your relationship and their demeanor. Better safe than sorry.

εїз Be seen anywhere and everywhere. You're a people machine. Now that you're ready to get your feet wet in every social situation, do so. Go to parties where you only know a few people. Hit up an art museum and follow it up with a tractor pull. Go to a wine tasting with your bowling team and then meet up with coworkers for pool and karaoke. Get out there!

εїз Keep as many social circles going at once as you can. If you stop making the effort, you may stop being invited. So Tuesday night you'll spend with your chess buddies, Thursday is reserved for your Italian cooking classmates, and Saturday is for your college gang.

εїз Throw parties. Want to flit around talking to everyone you've ever met? Throw a party! When it's on your turf, you have complete control. You can spend 8 minutes talking with one group, go grab a plate of finger foods, get sidetracked by another, eventually make it to the dining room, get roped into a toast, and end up on the patio with another. And when your friends meet your other friends, they can make connections, too!

εїз One of the hardest parts about being a social butterfly is spreading yourself too thin. You'll have so many friends it'll be hard to pay them all enough attention. A party is a good way to get everyone you like involved simultaneously. Just be prepared for clean up duty!

And that's all for now.

How To Be A Social Butterfly: Developing The Skills

How To Be A Social Butterfly: Developing The Skills

Hey guys, it's Hanna!

This is the second of four sets about being a social butterfly!

εїз Learn to read people. Now that we're past the abstract, master-your-own-mind stuff, onto the meat and potatoes of it all. If you want to be a social ninja, reading people is imperative. There a dozen cues you can find at anytime to know how to act around a person. When you can spot 'em, the whole process of socializing gets a lot easier.

εїз Don't only read their body language, tone, and visual cues, but take in how they interact with others. Do they have a large personal bubble? Do they value humor and joking around or are they more quiet and intellectual? If you can emulate it, do so. Fitting into every social circle is just a matter of interacting how the group expects.

εїз Master body language and eye contact. For different groups, there may be different expectations for body language and eye contact. But for most humans, there are good rules of thumb: be open and make eye contact most of the time. You want to appear confident and relaxed -- not stressed out and menacing.

εїз In some circles, though not all, flirting is an integral part of being a social butterfly. Everyone likes being flirted with and it's a simple way to establish a bond. When someone touches us, we automatically feel closer to them. If you want to work your way in, start flirting!

εїз Pick up a new hobby. You probably have your friends and odds are they're all a little similar. To be that butterfly, you'll need to branch out! You'll gain new skills, meet new people, and learn to interact with others that aren't as like you. So instead of being in a play, work backstage. Instead of swimming, take a scuba course. Instead of playing chess, join the cricket team. Just a little out of your comfort zone for starters!

εїз If it intrigues you, consider taking an acting class. Being forced to play a role and getting used to that feeling makes it a lot easier to fake being a social butterfly. There will be times when you don't feel like being social, but you can find a character within you who does. And if you fake it for long enough, it eventually becomes habit!

εїз Start noticing. Most people are totally tuned out to the world. It's how "stop and smell the roses" gained its meaning. Instead, get in the moment. Observe. Do it right now: think about what you're feeling (in the touch sense), hearing, smelling, tasting, and seeing. What did you notice that you didn't 10 seconds ago?

εїз This will help when interacting with people. You'll have more to say and you'll pick up on people's more subtle reactions. You'll be able to ask more interesting questions and since no one else is noticing, you'll be particularly impressive.

εїз Don't judge people. When you do get out there, the only way you can truly be a butterfly is to flit around every circle. You can't sit with the jocks and look down on the band kids. You can't associate with the hipsters and turn your nose up at the preps. You gotta be open to everyone. Otherwise you're a butterfly without wings. You're a social caterpillar.

εїз Being a social butterfly is sort of different than being popular. That's because being popular does not mean you are well-liked by everyone! The Plastics in Mean Girls were popular, but they weren't liked. So while you should definitely make friends with the popular kids (even if you're out of school!), make friends with everyone else, too.

εїз Get in the spotlight. You'll need to get used to being where the people are and having everyone know your name, so might as well start now. Run for class president. Organize a new club. Seek out some public recognition. The more people who know you, the easier it'll be to socialize at all those parties you're going to!

εїз Seek out a position of leadership anywhere. It could be at school, at your job, or at one of your extracurricular activities. When you hold the reigns, people will be coming to you. Imagine being a butterfly that the flowers come to themselves!

And that's all for now.

How to Remove Your Freckles-Ariel

How to Remove Your Freckles-Ariel

Hello my lovelies! Its Ariel! Below is the list to fade your freckles! I hope it helps!

-Apply fresh lemon juice on the affected skin and gently massage the area. Leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes and then rinse it off with lukewarm water. Do this twice a day.
-Another option is to use a lemon scrub. Cut a lemon in half and sprinkle one-half teaspoon of sugar on it. Gently scrub your skin with it for a few minutes and then wash your skin with water. Do this once or twice a week on a regular basis.
-Apply some sour cream on the affected skin and allow it to dry for a few minutes. Instead of rinsing it off with water, you must gently wipe it off with a soft tissue or a towel. Then apply some moisturizer. This remedy will not cause skin irritation or dryness. Do this at least once daily until the freckles go away.
-Alternatively, you can rinse the affected skin with sour milk daily. If you do not have sour milk, use yogurt.
-Mix honey and water and heat it slightly in a microwave. Apply it on the affected area and allow it to sit for a few minutes. Finally rinse the area thoroughly with warm water. Do this daily for a several weeks.
-You can also make an herbal mask by mixing a little wheat germ with warm honey. Apply this mask and allow it to sit for about 10 minutes. Rinse the area with warm water and then wash it again with cold water. Repeat two to three times a week for a couple of months. This is one of the most effective home remedies for freckles.
-Another option is to make a mixture of honey and yogurt, and apply it on the freckles for 30 minutes daily until you get the desired results.
-Apply fresh papaya juice directly on the freckles using a cotton ball and gently massage the area.
After 10 minutes, rinse the skin with cold water.
Do this once daily for at least for a few weeks or until you are satisfied with the results.
-Cut one red onion into thick slices and rub the slices gently on the freckles twice daily. Continue this remedy until the freckles fade away.
-Another option is to grate one red onion, extract its juice and apply the juice on the affected skin twice a day. For best results, add one teaspoon of vinegar to the onion juice. Repeat this remedy daily for one or two weeks.
-Simply apply buttermilk over the freckles, leave it on for 10 minutes, and then rinse it off with lukewarm water. Repeat twice daily for several weeks.
-Another option is to make a thick paste of powdered oatmeal and buttermilk. Apply this paste on the affected area, leave it on for about 30 minutes, and then wash it off with cold water. Do this once daily until you get positive results.

Make up for wearing glasses

Make up for wearing glasses

I wear glasses and find make up difficult when wearing glasses until I found these tips:
http://www.makeup.com/glasses-makeup/

-Attention on eyes-
Glasses give focus on eyes. Play around with eye shadows, try a bold cat eye, define lashes etc.

-Eyebrows-
Depending on glasses frame give the eyebrows attention. Fill them in and tidy them up. Shape them but don't pluck them too skinny.

-Conceal-
It's down to glasses making shadows on the face.Cover eye creases and under eye shadow.

-Use make up mirrors-
It may help using a magnifying mirror when applying makeup. This means no need as much to wear glasses that can get in way of applying eye makeup.

-Liptastic-
Try fun coloured lips that compliment your glasses frame colour.

-Light foundation-
Try powders instead of liquids as glasses can leave indentations on face.

How to smell go all day||Claudia♡

How to smell go all day||Claudia♡

Hey cuties it's Claudia! This is some of my favorite ways to always smell good all day long!

O1. Take a shower! This one is obvious but you'll be surprised of what people do!

O2. Have a nice smelling body wash+lotion (I like matching the same scents) so you can bathe in the wash then moisturize as well with the same scent!

O3. WASH YOUR HAIR! Washing your hair is a MUST because it helps get rid of greasy which can make your hair look and smell disgusting.

O4. Don't put too much perfume on because when your walking down the hallway some people might start sneezing due to allergies from it.

O5. My mom told me this, always have someone with you when your looking/buying some perfume because sometimes it can smell like bug spray on you (this has happened before to me.)

O6. When it's your "time of the month" take showers regularly and have a hypoallergenic body wash or soap so you don't get irritated! Also make sure you switch your feminine products every 2-3 or 4 hours!

O7. Wear deodorant! This makes your underarms reduce sweat which causes smell!

O8. Brush your teeth! I like using mint whitening toothpastes because not only does it make my teeth white but the mint helps my breath smell fresh!

O9. Always have mints or gum around in your bag!

10. Use a shoe freshener, wash your feet, and ALWAYS wear clean socks so your feet don't smell!

Hope this helped you guys!

How to make newspaper nails // Raelene ♥

HOW TO MAKE NEWSPAPER NAILS

Things you'll need:
- Piece of newspaper
- Base coat (pale or clear)
- Grey nail polish/or light colored nail polish
- Rubbing alcohol (or water)
- Cotton swabs
- Top coat(usually clear)
- Nail polish remover

01. Assemble all the items needed for preparing your nails. These are listed below under "Things You'll Need."

02. Wash your hands before painting your nails with mild soap. This will kill any germs or bacteria on your hands and nails while also cleaning off any dirt.

03. Apply a solid basecoat to protect your nails. This is optional, but it makes the color show up better and protects it. Make sure to let it dry thoroughly.

04. Paint your nails in a light grey, nude, or light pink nail polish color. Let it dry thoroughly before doing the next step.

05. Pour a bit of rubbing alcohol or water into the cap or into a small jar.

06. Dip each nail into the rubbing alcohol for about 5 seconds each.

07. Take a small piece of newspaper. Press it firmly on your nail for a few seconds.
 - Peel it off carefully. You'll find that the ink from the newspaper will be left behind.

08. Get a cotton bud and some nail polish remover to remove any excess nail polish that has gotten onto your fingers. Do not touch your nails with the nail polish remover, or your work will come off.

09. Apply a topcoat to your nails. This is needed because without it, the newspaper will rub off. It also gives your nail some extra shine. Enjoy!

How To Dress For A High School Dance

How To Dress For A High School Dance

Hey guys, it's Hanna.

So the school has started and that means that dances will be starting as well. Our school has a back to school dance coming up soon. Here are some tips on how to dress and what to wear!

✤ Pick what you are going to wear. Find a flirty top to wear, one with bright colors and that compliments your personality, and you can look attractive without showing too much skin. If anything, potential dates will see how relaxed and laid back you are.If it is a casual dance wear a cute, girly top. Try a camisole with a cardigan or jacket with shorts or a mini skirt. A more formal dance calls for a cute dress, though.

✤ Make your hair lovely. Wear your hair in a simple swept-up style. A casual, messy bun looks really great, and it stays in. You could also try half up half down or free hair.

✤ Get the make-up. If you make your eyes the focus, try making them smoky and eyeliner for a dramatic affect. This will set them off fabulously! Or you can make them sparkly or smoky then wear a pale shade of lip gloss. And never forget mascara! Try on the make up and check it with a friend to make sure it's not too much; less is more!If you want to draw attention to your lips give them a bold color like red or bright pink.

✤ Shoes - Heels look great but put some flats in your bag for when your feet start to hurt.

✤ Hair - Do something that you do not usually do; whether this is straightening, curling or an interesting updo.

✤ A bag - A bag isn't exactly necessary for a dance, but if you need one make sure it isn't too large and matches your outfit. Make it only big enough to hold the essentials (lip gloss, cell phone, keys, camera etc.) and make sure that someone is going to watch it while you are dancing.(If your school doesn't allow bags or purses because they think you might have drugs or alcohol, bring a cute jacket with pockets. Some schools have coat racks for your jackets. If you need to get something from your pockets, it'll be at the coat rack. Or where ever your jacket is).

✤ Jewelry - For jewelry keep it simple. If your top is busy, skip the necklace. Depending on your build, you might want long, dangly earrings, or studs. Get someone else's opinion.

✤ Don't forget the all important deodorant/antiperspirant and perfume. No guy will want to dance with someone who smells. Also remember to shave your underarms and legs.

Also keep in mind:

✤ Your best accessory is confidence! Don't just look like you look great in anything. Act like it too.

✤ If you don't have enough money to spend on a new outfit, ask to borrow something from a female relative or friend.

✤ Whatever you wear should make you feel comfortable with yourself. Don't wear something just because someone else would. Stick to your own style and your own taste and you'll always be comfortable with what you are wearing.

✤ Keep the style cool. If you're going with a boy, remember that many don't have much style! Take it case-by-case, but don't go outrageous!

✤ Don't over-do it all, try to look like you didn't spend an hour picking out an outfit. More like you look great in almost anything. Because you do!

✤ Dress fabulously. This is your time to shine.

✤ Your hair should look nice and laid back, so leave a couple of strands out.

✤ Act responsibly: don't drink just because you see someone else with alcoholic beverages. And never EVER get into a car with a driver that's been drinking.

✤ Keep in mind that your top is flirty, and in your comfort zone. If you want to be showing more or less than you are comfortable, then yes, guys will dance with you, but try to make good conversation with them too, so then maybe they'll dance with you because they like you, as well as your top too.

✤ It's always better to be under dressed than overdressed, and at many high schools, students don't go to dances in suit jackets and ballroom gowns.

And this are all the tips I have for you today. Hope you enjoyed!!

How To Improve Your English

How To Improve Your English
Hey guys, it's Hanna.

You probably don't know that, but English is my third language. So please don't judge me if I spell something wrong. I speak many different languages and it is hard to tell them apart sometimes. I try to do my best, but I am still learning. Here are a few tips that helped me improve my English!!

☻ Label things in your house. Grab that pad of Post-Its you have laying around that you rarely ever use and start labeling the things around you. Even if you already know the simple stuff, do it anyway. Just thinking of these things in English before you think of it in your native tongue will get you thinking faster and when it takes less effort, you'll feel the progress you're making.

☻ Keep a notebook. As you go about your day, there's bound to be some English words that you run into that you don't fully understand. This is when you whip out your handy dandy notebook! Scribble down the word and then when you go home, you can look it up. Instead of thinking, "Gosh, what was that word I saw on the menu at the cafe?" you'll flip right to the page and learn a new word!

☻ Surround yourself with English speakers. If you have a few friends who are great at speaking English, hang out with them! Invite them over to dinner! So, your home becomes an English hub. Find a tutor to do some one-on-one with. Do a language exchange, where you can teach them your language and they can teach you theirs. Immerse yourself in it as much as you can!

☻ Read children's magazines and books. They are attractive, they tend to have many short articles or simple plot lines, and they come in many subjects (science, literature, self-improvement). But more importantly, they are well-illustrated. The pictures will allow you to understand many words without having to use a dictionary. You'll go faster and get more enjoyment out of it!

☻ Figure out how YOU learn. Everyone has their own learning style. Some people learn with their hands, some with their eyes, some with their ears, and some are a combination of the three. Your best friend may be able to recite English poetry after hearing it once when you need to see it to understand. Once you figure out how you learn, you can cater your studying habits to your abilities.

☻ Learn root words, prefixes, and suffixes. Even English speakers could stand to learn root words! Since there are so many words in this dang language, learning root words can help cut you to the chase. When you see it, if you know the root word, you may not even have to look it up!

☻ Read English language newspapers. Some newspapers use more complex language than others, so choose the right one for you. Remember that you can start with the headlines and then progress to reading the articles as you gain confidence. You can go at your own pace and pick the articles that are interesting. At least read the comics!

☻ Don't be afraid to make mistakes. If you haven't had half a dozen teachers that have told you this, you were probably taught by robots. Making mistakes is crucial. If you don't, you won't learn what's right and wrong, you won't take risks, and you won't truly grasp the concepts you're learning. It's sucky, it is, but it's necessary.

☻ Watch English language DVDs. Television and films are good too, but it's better if you have something you can watch over and over and over and over. You can really get down the content, start noticing things you never noticed before, and your brain can relax instead of flailing about, trying to keep up. Ask some friends if they have a series you can borrow!

☻ Listen to the radio. The BBC World Service is just one excellent source of spoken English and even broadcasts programs for learners. Have it on in the background while you go about doing your household tasks. Just streaming English all the time can help you learn it passively. You don't have to sit down and stare at your radio -- just let it soak in!

☻ Use the Internet. You can listen to the radio online, watch TV clips, read articles, and even play games to improve your English. You can even chat with people! There are also many pages on the web dedicated to teaching English as a foreign language. Real people are better, but the Internet is still a great tool.

☻ Use "correcting" websites. If you're not in a class or don't have a native speaker at your disposal, it may seem pretty hard to get better at writing. How do you know if you're doing it correctly? Simple! Use websites that will correct your work! Search through Google to find websites that assist in correcting your grammar - many which are free of charge. Again, no excuses!

☻ Listen to a song a day. Not only is it fun, but you will learn words and pronunciation. And new music! Pick one each day and study it until you know it by heart. Find a genre that appeals to you and choose some songs that don't go too fast -- hardcore rap is not a good place to start when it comes to learning English! Think the Beatles, Michael Buble, Elvis, or even musical theatre.

☻ Buy English language-learning CDs. Rosetta Stone can cost a pretty penny, but it's useful. Some even offer accessibility to a native speaker! But that's not the only kid on the block -- there's Pimsleur and Michel Thomas as well, just to name two more. Each advocates a different type of learning -- which one would work best for you?

☻ Practice speaking English wherever you can. Seriously. Take every tiny opportunity. If you live in an English speaking country then this is easier, but if not then you can talk to visitors. Don't be shy, and don't worry about making mistakes - just have a go! Even saying, "A cup of coffee to go, please," will help remove your nerves for when a true debate breaks out!

☻ Listen to your body's clock. The same way we all have styles of learning, we all have times that are better for us, too. Your morning class may be a good class, but you can't pay attention because your brain is just getting out of bed and brushing its teeth. Notice when you're most alert -- and then take that time out of your day to study!

☻ Learn the IPA. That stands for the International Phonetic Alphabet, by the way. Seriously. It may seem like a lot of work, but it'll be so useful and so handy once you know it. You can look up a word in any dictionary and know exactly how it's pronounced. You can see the differences between American, British, and Australian English. You can look at your own pronunciation and see what vowels you're actually making. And it's fascinating!

☻ Record yourself. You probably know how it should sound, but how does it sound when the words come out of your mouth? Probably a bit different. So record yourself! Then you can go back and notice your strengths and weaknesses. It's a little hard listening to your own voice at first (you may feel self-conscious), but it does go away. And it's a surefire way to see your progress!

☻ Take different style classes. If you're lucky enough to be in an English class, supplement your main one with another that's of a different style. In a group class? Take a one-on-one thing. In a speaking class? Take a writing. Worried about pronunciation? Take an accent-reduction class. Practising different skills in different environments is the only (and quickest) way to get better.

☻ Think outside of the box. Sometimes opportunities have to be created. And sometimes those opportunities might seem a little contrived or make you feel silly, but they're worth it!

And that is all. Learning a language takes a lot of hard work, but it pays off!!

How To Plan A Girls' Slumber Party

How To Plan A Girls' Slumber Party

Hey guys, it's Hanna.

I have been to quit a few slumber partys and some of them were pretty good. But then again not all of them were amazing. Here are some tips on how to plan a slumber party.

✌ Decide when it's best to hold the slumber party. There are several important considerations here:
- Do you want to hold it during school term or during the vacation time? During school term limits the options to weekend nights, while during school vacation, some of the friends might be away.
- Are there any big events on that might stop guests from coming? For example, big sports meet-ups, local drama plays being staged, try-outs for teams, etc.
- Are there known issues about some friends being tied up doing something on any particular dates? Especially if they're BFFs, don't plan the party if they're not going to be able to make it.
- Is it near or around exam time? If so, do not hold the party as it will distract the girls and many of them probably won't be allowed to come anyway.
- Is the weather going to be appropriate for the sleepover? Although the girls sleep indoors, this could impact outdoor activities or outings to things.
- If you're a parent planning the party, ask your daughter if she knows of anything that might prevent guests from being available on a specific date. If not, and you've considered the above possibilities, you're good to go.

✌ Consider what time you'd like the girls to come to the sleepover. A late afternoon start is fairly standard, such as around 4pm, 5pm, etc. This allows time for the girls to settle in or for you take them somewhere, such as to see a movie, to go bowling or to have a pizza meal out. Obviously, the time will depend on whether or not you've planned an external activity.
- Be sure to seek the permission of parents if taking the girls out of your home. They may prefer to help with transportation arrangements.

✌ Consider how long you would like the girls to stay the following morning. It's nice to let the parents have a little sleep in or take their time to come and collect their daughter the next morning and the girls usually love staying in one another's company a little longer. A 10am, 11am or noon pick-up time usually works best. It does mean that you have to include breakfast.

✌ If you are using invitations, mail them one to two weeks prior to the party. The invitation must include the following information:
- The address/where the party is
- Day of the party and time it begins
- Drop off and pick up times (see above)
- What to bring (pillow, blanket, costume, makeover goodies, DVD, etc.)
- RSVP (how your guests contact you to say if they can come or not). That includes your email address and phone number.

✌ Consider using email to send out the slumber party request. It's fast, it's easy to track and most people are not the slightest bit surprised to receive invitations via emails. Just be sure to offer the option of calling you as well as emailing back, as some parents will still prefer to talk to the household parent or guardian in person.

✌ Before the slumber party, tie balloons on your mailbox or near your front porch. If you want to be more creative, you could write the girls' names on the balloons.
- Other decorations could include streamers, a lovely table setting for the dinner or buffet, etc. However, it's best not to go overboard, there are already enough things to keep everyone excited.

✌ Decide on what you are serving at the party. Have plenty of snacks, as well as dinner. You could also have dessert, if you want. You'll also need to include breakfast foods for the following morning.
- Good slumber party foods include: Pizzas, hamburgers, pasta, fries, takeout, etc.
- For dessert: Cheesecake, ice cream, chocolate anything, fruit pie, etc.
- Snacks might include: Dips and chips, candies, fondues (cheese or chocolate), brownies, cupcakes, etc.
- Drinks might include: Sparkling water, sodas in different flavors, juice, plain water and hot chocolates.
- Keep in mind the possibility that some of the girls might have food allergies or foods they don't like. Ask them the menu to make it clear when they RSVP that they have any such issues.

✌ Plan activities. There are lots of possibilities for activities but it's a good idea to plan them ahead and not leave anything to chance. Choose activities that are fun and easy.
- For younger girls, a slumber party should be more structured, becoming more independent with older girls.
- Board games, scavenger hunts, crafts, makeovers, etc. are great choices.
- Visiting somewhere can be an option if you can arrange transportation. For example, going to the movies, ice-skating, ten-pin bowling, go-kart racing, eating out, etc.
- Be sure to leave plenty of room for spur-of-the-moment activities and chatting.

✌ While you wait for the guests to arrive, clear a spot for everyone's sleeping bags and suitcases. A living room, family room, den or a spot with lots of room and a TV are ideal places.
- Be sure to accommodate the needs of every other household member. Let everyone know which rooms are off limits, both ways; the guests should know where not to go to avoid bothering siblings or parents and the family members should keep out of the way of the guests.

✌ Have fun at the slumber party! If you're the girl of honor, enjoy yourself. If you're a parent, hang in there; make it clear that you're available if needed but generally keep out of the way and let the girls have their fun.
- Parents usually like to retreat to another part of the house to get some quiet space. Just make sure that the girls know where you are if the need you.

And that's all that I have for you guys today. Hope you enjoyed this tip.

How To Dress Fashionably

How To Dress Fashionably

Hey guys, it's Hanna.

Today is the first day of school (at least for me) and I hope that you guys are enjoying it. Here are some ways to dress fashionably.

∞ Organize your wardrobe. Get out all your clothes and decide which ones you want and don't want. Donate, sell, and a top tip you could host your own boot sale, with anything that you haven't worn in a year, doesn't fit or isn't your style.

∞ If you haven't worn it in a year, you won't miss it. Thinking, "I could need this one day!" will leave you thinking you have nothing to wear for most. Clean it out. Someone else could second-love your things.

∞ If you have loads of items that don't fit anymore, don't keep them all to be hopeful. Keep a few of your favorites, but pitch the rest. A closet full of clothes that don't fit can be very de-motivating.

∞ Know your body type. And dress for it. The most fashionable items in the world right now won't look good on you if you don't have the right body type for it. It does not mean you're too fat, too thin, too tall, or too short. You just don't have the optimal shape for that cut.

∞ Dispose of everything that doesn't fit you right. And you'll know. If your silhouette isn't quite what it could be, odds are you don't wear it.

∞ When you go shopping, keep your body type in mind. For most women, it's ideal to draw in at the waist and elongate the leg. If you get stuck, you can always ask a sales professional; it's their job to help you look good.

∞ Take a good look in the mirror. Try to look at yourself as objectively as possible. Pick things about your physical appearance that you like and dislike. What do you want to disguise? What do you want to emphasize? What's your coloring? It's important to figure out the answers to these questions before you go shopping so you know what to buy! If you haven't a clue, shopping for a new wardrobe can be very intimidating.

∞ Know your style. Being fashionable does not mean adhering to a specific look. It means finding what you're comfortable in and running with it.

∞ Spend time flipping through catalogs or surfing websites that feature and sell clothes. There are tons of different pieces that will look phenomenal on you--it's just a matter of finding them.

∞ Ultimately, clothes that you love and feel good in will be worn more confidently by you. It has less to do with today's fashion and more to do with how you present yourself, though both are intertwined.

∞ Consider context. Where you live, where you go and what you do are major factors in dressing fashionably. If you wear a ballgown to the office, that is not fashionable; if you wear a business suit to the prom, likewise. Think about what kind of clothing is appropriate for the things you're going to be doing.

∞ Fashion varies area to area. What's popular on a runway in Milan may not have made it to the streets of Chicago. Whatever fashion you're aiming for, tap into its sources. Finding what you love and what looks good on you is imperative, regardless of where it's from or who originated it.

∞ Start shopping. The best thing to do is to buy long-lasting pieces that will retain their class throughout the seasons. Fashion changes extremely quickly! Don't fill your wardrobe with things that won't be appropriate the same time next year; you'll just regret buying it. Every women needs half a dozen items that are staples in her wardrobe. Find yours.

∞ In the context of what flatters your body, find a handful of your favorite, variable pieces. A classic white button-down, a favorite pair of flatteringly-cut jeans, boots, cinched-waist skirt and a sweater, for starters. You can mix and match these items all you want for dozens of different looks.

∞ Shop more. Now that you've got the basics, it's time to have fun! Buy some great shoes, cute accessories and get a haircut! Bright purple leather trench looks too tacky? A handbag in the same style will be fantastic.

∞ After all, the devil's in the details. Accessories and hairstyles are the parts that show your sassy side the easiest. So cut out that celeb 'do from that magazine and head on over to the salon. Might as well get your nails done while you're at it.

∞ Note the ol' adage, "Put on your accessories, then take off one before leaving." And it rings true: accessories are great--but a necklace, bracelet, earrings, rings, watch, sunglasses, and hat are a bit much. Pair a couple of accessories with each outfit; don't go overboard.

∞ Ask someone else to go shopping with you. It's always good to have an outsider's perspective, especially a friend to make the time pass by more quickly. Bring along someone who can give you well-formulated critiques regarding your clothes. The image we see in the mirror isn't always how we really look!

∞ Take everyone's perspective with a grain of salt. Her style is her style, not yours. But if she absolutely adores something on you and you don't see it, take a moment to look. Wait a minute to see if you can find what she sees. Your mind may open up to a brand new style.

And I think that covered pretty much everything. Hope you enjoyed reading this tip.
