How To Have Fun In Wunter

How To Have Fun In Wunter

Hey guys, Hanna here.

Winter is here, so let's have some fun, shall we?

❅ Stay healthy! Winter temperatures can get below freezing (32 F/0 C), so it's very important that you are physically ready for the season before starting the fun. Go through your closet and make sure you have at least one pair of gloves, a hat or earmuffs, scarves, snow boots, and a winter coat. Make sure you have plenty of long pants, sweater/sweatshirts, and long sleeved shirts. Many stores will have a winter clothes items sale, so take this as an opportunity to get some nice new winter clothes.

❅ Play in the snow. If it's winter time, there's a good chance that you'll be seeing flurry snowflakes outside your window. Instead of staring at it inside, why not get out there and play in it? Get a friend or two and go to a wide, open area outside with tons of snow. Try making cool creations in the snow. Make a snowman, a snow angel, or a snow fort. Or, think up your own ideas, like a snow dog or snow people! Play your favorite winter sport, likesnowboarding, skiing, sledding, or ice skating. When sledding, find a great big hill to ride down.

❅ Make some fun winter food and drinks.

❅ Sit by the fire.

❅ Host a winter party.

❅ Celebrate winter holidays.

❅ Make paper snowflakes.

❅ Add marshmallows, whipped cream, or bits of candy cane to your hot chocolate.

❅ Get a parent or friend to take a video of your winter fun, whether you're outside playing in the snow or inside sipping hot cocoa by the fire.

And that's it. Hope you enjoy it!

How To Dress Fashionably

How To Dress Fashionably

Hey guys, it's Hanna.

Today is the first day of school (at least for me) and I hope that you guys are enjoying it. Here are some ways to dress fashionably.

∞ Organize your wardrobe. Get out all your clothes and decide which ones you want and don't want. Donate, sell, and a top tip you could host your own boot sale, with anything that you haven't worn in a year, doesn't fit or isn't your style.

∞ If you haven't worn it in a year, you won't miss it. Thinking, "I could need this one day!" will leave you thinking you have nothing to wear for most. Clean it out. Someone else could second-love your things.

∞ If you have loads of items that don't fit anymore, don't keep them all to be hopeful. Keep a few of your favorites, but pitch the rest. A closet full of clothes that don't fit can be very de-motivating.

∞ Know your body type. And dress for it. The most fashionable items in the world right now won't look good on you if you don't have the right body type for it. It does not mean you're too fat, too thin, too tall, or too short. You just don't have the optimal shape for that cut.

∞ Dispose of everything that doesn't fit you right. And you'll know. If your silhouette isn't quite what it could be, odds are you don't wear it.

∞ When you go shopping, keep your body type in mind. For most women, it's ideal to draw in at the waist and elongate the leg. If you get stuck, you can always ask a sales professional; it's their job to help you look good.

∞ Take a good look in the mirror. Try to look at yourself as objectively as possible. Pick things about your physical appearance that you like and dislike. What do you want to disguise? What do you want to emphasize? What's your coloring? It's important to figure out the answers to these questions before you go shopping so you know what to buy! If you haven't a clue, shopping for a new wardrobe can be very intimidating.

∞ Know your style. Being fashionable does not mean adhering to a specific look. It means finding what you're comfortable in and running with it.

∞ Spend time flipping through catalogs or surfing websites that feature and sell clothes. There are tons of different pieces that will look phenomenal on you--it's just a matter of finding them.

∞ Ultimately, clothes that you love and feel good in will be worn more confidently by you. It has less to do with today's fashion and more to do with how you present yourself, though both are intertwined.

∞ Consider context. Where you live, where you go and what you do are major factors in dressing fashionably. If you wear a ballgown to the office, that is not fashionable; if you wear a business suit to the prom, likewise. Think about what kind of clothing is appropriate for the things you're going to be doing.

∞ Fashion varies area to area. What's popular on a runway in Milan may not have made it to the streets of Chicago. Whatever fashion you're aiming for, tap into its sources. Finding what you love and what looks good on you is imperative, regardless of where it's from or who originated it.

∞ Start shopping. The best thing to do is to buy long-lasting pieces that will retain their class throughout the seasons. Fashion changes extremely quickly! Don't fill your wardrobe with things that won't be appropriate the same time next year; you'll just regret buying it. Every women needs half a dozen items that are staples in her wardrobe. Find yours.

∞ In the context of what flatters your body, find a handful of your favorite, variable pieces. A classic white button-down, a favorite pair of flatteringly-cut jeans, boots, cinched-waist skirt and a sweater, for starters. You can mix and match these items all you want for dozens of different looks.

∞ Shop more. Now that you've got the basics, it's time to have fun! Buy some great shoes, cute accessories and get a haircut! Bright purple leather trench looks too tacky? A handbag in the same style will be fantastic.

∞ After all, the devil's in the details. Accessories and hairstyles are the parts that show your sassy side the easiest. So cut out that celeb 'do from that magazine and head on over to the salon. Might as well get your nails done while you're at it.

∞ Note the ol' adage, "Put on your accessories, then take off one before leaving." And it rings true: accessories are great--but a necklace, bracelet, earrings, rings, watch, sunglasses, and hat are a bit much. Pair a couple of accessories with each outfit; don't go overboard.

∞ Ask someone else to go shopping with you. It's always good to have an outsider's perspective, especially a friend to make the time pass by more quickly. Bring along someone who can give you well-formulated critiques regarding your clothes. The image we see in the mirror isn't always how we really look!

∞ Take everyone's perspective with a grain of salt. Her style is her style, not yours. But if she absolutely adores something on you and you don't see it, take a moment to look. Wait a minute to see if you can find what she sees. Your mind may open up to a brand new style.

And I think that covered pretty much everything. Hope you enjoyed reading this tip.

How To Decorate Your Dorm

How To Decorate Your Dorm

Hey guys, Hanna here!

So I don't really have a dorm, but I thought it would be fun to do a tip about it anyway. The same steps kind of apply for decorating your room so let's get to it!!

01. Check. Yes you, check the rules conditions for living in the dorm. Many dorms have strict rules about mounting photos and painting the walls. Check before you decide to do anything major with your dorm rooms. It also helps to talk to your room-mate and discuss your budget, likes, dislikes and colors you can't stand. You are going to be living there for the year, how awful would it be if you had to live in a yellow room and yellow made your head spin.

02. Envision. Get unpacked and line your personal belongings on the floor and gaze at the empty space around you. Being surrounded by your possessions will help to prevent homesickness. How would you like your dorm room to appear? Do you want it to appear classy, trendy, fun, edgy or plan comfortable. It helps if you look at a few articles for design ideas.

03. Time for Action! Flex your muscles and start moving furniture around, push that horrible wood grain table under the window.Give the bed a push away from that elf-sized closet to give yourself space for pacing. You will probably need your roommate and their permission for this one.

04. Action bedspread. Yes your bedspread is a big part of your decor, since you have such limited options, a bedspread is more of a design element more than even before. Find a pattern or color you like and will not grow out of in a few months. If you are sure you will find fire engine red as alluring as if was in the summer, go for it. Buy cool throw pillows to give your room warmth, throw them in your chairs and set them across your bed. Remember cohesion is the key, you want everything to look related to each other.

05. Consider storage and organization as a decoration. You'll need to cram a lot into a small space and storage helps to keep your belongings safe and tidy. Choose organization that is color coded and themed and matched to your decor. There are plenty of designs to choose from, wicker baskets, neon plastic , tin, just make sure it is sturdy enough to last you your stay. For example, neon crates that look cool match your jet black splatter paint blanket.

06. Invest in a small safe. Use this for passports, ID, mobile phones, laptop and expensive jewelery etc. Be vigilant. If you accidentally leave your door unlocked, someone could slip in and take your precious belongings. Find a quality safe that means stay away from flimsy tin safes in bright colors. This safe is simple for safety, not decor.

07. Colorsplash. Find a trendy colorful or stylish throw rug for your hardwood floor to keep your feet warm during the winter. Many dorm rooms are not blessed with floor carpeting and you will have to trek to the nearest Target or Walmart and find a nice rug. A soft carpet will make you feel as if you are at home and pull together your room decor. A carpet can make or break a room. That old beer stain carpet you took from your Uncles wouldn't be a good idea if your bed spread is pink.

08. Under the bed is a great storage space. If the height is too small, bed risers are available. Suitcases, clothes, shoes, textbooks etc. can all be stored safely under the bed using color theme crates found at Walmart, Target and many other large chain stores.Remember above the space above the wardrobe can be used. Plastic boxes are especially useful and can be stacked above the wardrobe out of the way.

09. Dreadful blank walls. Many dorms do not allow you to hang frames from a wall unless you use old fashion clear tape.Take advantage of posters.Tape magazines and photos across your wall in cool patterns.Another idea is to cover every wall with a black curtain complete with the curtain rod, there are hooks that stick to the wall without nails and peel away without a hint of damage. Go to your nearest hardware store and ask for the product.

10. Hit the thrift store and set up old knick-nacks on your inn table and dresser drawer. Albums and ancient books scattered across the table. A few art pieces you find appealing to the eye would look great on that dresser drawer. Lean photographs against the wall if you are not allowed to stick nails into the wall.

11. Curtains. If your dorm was not generous enough to supply curtains, purchase a few from the dorm section at big surplus stores. A cheaper option would be a few shower curtains or buying bundles of fabric and sewing them yourselves. If you live in the heart of the city, try curtains that will block out bright lights and warm up your room.

And that's it! Like and comment bellow, if you want me to give you more tips and warnings about decorating your dorm.
